New Ford vehicle location tracking for New Car Delivery (available to dealers via VinView)

I asked "my" dealer for an update on the location of my MME order (shipped 9/15, last located in Kansas City vicinity 9/27) using new VIN View instead of VVR. No response, that is, 32 days without an update plus a dealer that's indifferent to my inquiries. 10+ months, so far, between order and now... still waiting.

My dealer didnt want to give me the vinview stuff, but then I sent the info from this thread and the examples and they set it up. Maybe they realized they would have to since VVR is going away...

On Tuesday (apparently the date this new tool was made available to dealers), my dealer texted me to tell me Ford just released a new tracker and they were using my MME to play with the tracker. They sent me this picture:

They also told me the tracker had a new "Intelligent ETA" and that my ETA was 10/30. Today I went into my account and my delivery window was updated from 10/27-11/2 to a new window of 11/27-12/3. Great that the dealer can now see exactly where the vehicle is, but Ford's ability to predict delivery and to get vehicles to dealers has not improved one iota....

I'm also curious I send them a text this morning asking if they can check their system and see what it says. I'll post when I hear back!

Yeah definitely going to ask my dealer about this as well. My MME shipped in July, and apparently has been sitting in Missouri for over 3+ months (still in Missouri to this day, and August was the last update and its been in Missouri for longer), with zero movement. Getting really tired of ford's absolutely terrible logistics planning. Also starting concerns for rust/battery health etc because the car has been sitting at an unknown charge. My dealership has reached out to the Regional Ford manager and has yet to hear back from them. Apparently they fired the old RM because of poor workmanship.

I'm only an 8-hour drive from KC. Wish I had the option to retrieve it from there. But gives me hope the new date is achieveable. But missed delivery dates, after the vehicle is built, is just piss poor.

I am only a 14 hr drive at this point I would take the option too

I think ford lost my Mach-E lol.. original delivery was September 1st.. and has been changing week, by week. I get these texts every now and then.

My salesperson said my car is in MO waiting on chips. That’s why they’re not moving. In their earnings call, Ford claimed it’s not chips, but other parts, that have their cars stacked up and waiting for delivery.

What’s infuriating are the boilerplate emails from Ford with no actual information in them. If they, you know, communicated, I’d feel better about the wait. But I’m pretty close to just walking away at this point. This whole process has me regret having chosen Ford at all.

My vehicle according to Ford and the dealer is 100%, waiting on nothing. Build completed mid July and shipped 4 hours after build completion. No idea why a final product is sitting.

BTW - my dealer confirmed that the "intelligent ETA" on the new tracking tool moved out from 10/30 to 11/30 which matches the change in my on-line tracker where my window got pushed out a month on Sunday. No information on why the car continues to sit in Kansas City. Always slow to the party, Ford sent me a text and email informing me of the delay - two days after their systems figured out that my car was delayed. I really wish they could just be honest with us about what is driving the delays and how confident they really are in the new dates....

Talked to my dealership GM today. He said Ford is terminating many of their dealer Reps. (That’s what I was told) The current Ford dealer rep handles over 100 dealerships and is unable to respond to inquiries or provide guidance. This said, while on the phone with me the GM found VinView but says the screen was “greyed out” and he could not find anywhere to request access. Does anyone here know how I can help him so he can train his team, and give buyers timely info.
