According to AutoForeCastSolutions' comprehensive North American vehicle product map (just updated in November 2022) which has proven accurate in the past:

  • Current Mach-E (CX727 program) end of production: June 2026
  • Next gen Mach-E (CX733 program) start of production: July 2026 (ends 2033)
  • Mach-E Coupe (CX799 program) start of production: July 2026 (ends 2031)

Seems like at best, that's a guess based on historical averages. Ford doesn't even know what they'll be doing with it in 3.5 years.

I wonder if Ford is planning on a refresh in the interim before 2026. Wonder if that will happen in the middle of 2023 or for 2024 MY. At some point they will want to make the switch to LFP packs, I have a feeling that will coincide with a refresh.

A 2 door Mach e coupe in 7/2026 and a EV Mustang (S750) beginning in 5/2029? Not sure if I understand why 2 separate models? Also, an EV Escape in 1/2026, but no mention of EV Bronco Sport or EV Maverick?

I agree. Ford will not just sit by if other auto manufacturers start using newer battery technology. Especially, if Farley gets his wish of a return to vertical integration.

My son is 13. I used to think if he studied robotics (and how to fix them), he'd be set for life. Now I'm thinking he should either become an electrician (charger install and repair) or go into battery chemistry instead 😁. If he becomes a Ford battery tech, I could have an inside line to this stuff 😝.

One is "not a Mustang" and the other "is a Mustang"...

Could be they get rid of the back doors. The bronco has a 2 door. The new electric charger is a coupe. Corvette going to SUV and 4 door as well.

I saw a news release stating that LFP batteries will be introduced in 2023 (calendar year, not model year) on standard range models. An ER battery would be too heavy in LFP.
