I was just at the dealer I purchased my Mach-E through (through not from because I ordered online). McFarland Ford right off of Exit 11 off of Route 101 (about six miles from the beaches).
I'm automatically on guard with a low bar for expectations from any dealership, but the folks at McFarland have really been quite nice. No ADM if ordered on line (only on order cancellations). But what about the charging?
McFarland has confirmed it plans to spend the $900K for the "elite" EV certification. That means it will have 10-20 DCFC installed, free to use for Ford customers (we are just required to bring them food ). They are not sure which kind they are going to purchase (EVgo, Chargepoint, etc.). I also neglected to ask about a timeline.
They currently have three MME's in stock (thought the Rte 1 is being shipped to a buyer in CA) as well as a Lightning Lariat (heavy ADM on that right now).
Mostly, I'm happy to hear McFarland is on board for the future. This is a good area for EV sales (reasonably affluent, educated, etc.). And when I say they are right off the exit, I mean you can see them from the highway. They are next to a Hannaford grocery store as well (who is also planning on installing chargers). Great spot to recharge after a day at the beach before heading home (if west is home).
