- 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT
Dealers (and banks) LOVE customers like you ?So I had a Premium reservation, cancelled it, bought a 2020 Escape Titanium.....now seeing the GT interior.....I think I’m making a new reservation for the GT....my husband is going to strangle me lol ?
Husbands don’t mind either.Dealers (and banks) LOVE customers like you ?
I bet one could still get a 2021 first model year even with a late reservation now. I wouldn't be surprised if the roughly 15k units in the first model year aren't all spoken for especially as some who may not be willing to wait another 12-13 months may cancel their reservations and go with Model Y or other options.@AmyJ, pull a Nike and Just Do It. GT doesn't come out for another 14-15 months and a reservation now means you probably wouldn't get it til 2022. Your garage will be ready for it by then. You won't regret it, trust me. ?
If bringing home a Mach E GT, then probably not. ?Husbands don’t mind either.
Naturally all the specs on the ford site have gone awol and since been replaced with coming soon for the GT, but it always used to state two options for the seats standard black onxy and the black with w/miko inserts and copper stitching.I believe the interior for the GT will have Copper piping. I think only the FE had the matching stitching.
I just went back onto the ford site for the Mach E and the spec list comparison chart has had the GT column wiped clean. Hadn't known that till your comment.Naturally all the specs on the ford site have gone awol and since been replaced with coming soon for the GT, but it always used to state two options for the seats standard black onxy and the black with w/miko inserts and copper stitching.
If I was guessing I suspect the later will come only with sport seats so an option / standard with the gt performance. The seats in the configurator have similar shape to the Recaros found in the focus ST/RS with the same adjustable headrest while the blue GT that has been doing the rounds since the reveal has a fixed headrest so at this point in time who knows what will be in the GT. Still a long time to go until the GT is finalized when questions in regards to what will be the performance edition can finally be answered.
The one recent change I did not like seeing on the configurator was it mentioning a manual passenger seat. Ford pulled that bean counter BS on both my Focus ST/RS over here replacing the powered passenger seat that the European models got with a manual seat , however that has thankfully since been updated to state 8-way powered driver and 8-way powered passenger
Once thing I will be keeping an eye on is to see if the European versions get the outer flush 'Wall-e' head rests to go along with the center one as is normal. I really detest the giant rear visibility blockers that we get over here in the USA
I dont' think the GT configurator ever had anything for the interior other than the one it shows now: Black Onyx ActiveX w/ miko inserts and copper stitching.Naturally all the specs on the ford site have gone awol and since been replaced with coming soon for the GT, but it always used to state two options for the seats standard black onxy and the black with w/miko inserts and copper stitching.
There's some evidence of a unique seat configuration for GT Performance... Though as with all things, details can change between now and production:I just went back onto the ford site for the Mach E and the spec list comparison chart has had the GT column wiped clean. I also hadnt realized they had 2 interiors for the GT. I always thought it was just one interior option, but I could see the performance package having a different seating setup.

When I saw the GT at the dealership it had different seats. Things may have changed since this was only a preproduction model.I dont' think the GT configurator ever had anything for the interior other than the one it shows now: Black Onyx ActiveX w/ miko inserts and copper stitching.
I don't think it was ever two separate options of black onyx or black w/ miko.
This is the first time I notice the suede on the bottom section of the steering wheel. Business up top, party down below? When I saw the GT at the dealership it had different seats. Things may have changed since this was only a preproduction model.
Agreed, i'm used to the one button flop down on the Volvos for clear viewing.Once thing I will be keeping an eye on is to see if the European versions get the outer flush 'Wall-e' head rests to go along with the center one as is normal. That would be nice, if maybe potentially more supportive. The current seat bottoms look rather flat and hard...There's some evidence of a unique seat configuration for GT Performance... Though as with all things, details can change between now and production:

I believe the Miko insert option is available on other Ford models, including the fusion and Shelby GT. So you can try those out to get a feel. That would be nice, if maybe potentially more supportive. The current seat bottoms look rather flat and hard...
I class the GT as all subject to change but from the original specs. The w/miko was always under optional with and came with performance seats, I assumed these would be standard on the performance variant.I dont' think the GT configurator ever had anything for the interior other than the one it shows now: Black Onyx ActiveX w/ miko inserts and copper stitching.
