It looks cool but availability in uSA late 2021? Next two years are going to be good for some interesting EV debuts

insideevs podcast was saying the Ariya has CHAdeMO. If that's true, the Ariya is a failure before it's even available.

Anything that is not the famous "T", gets shot down and riddled at various other sites including Electrek. These sites are known to state the various car companies are going to be soon bankrupt if they do not immediately move to full electrification.

It's been my impression that Electrek has been very complimentary of the MME.

Agreed...in a different interview, a Ford executive said the Ford charger will be the most widely used standard out there.

Nissan is in trouble financially, having nothing to do with going or not going to electrification. Not that any of the auto companies are in great shape, just Nissan happens to be in worse shape than most. I have confidence Ford will be around for at least a few years more. ;)
And sticking to CHAdeMO is ridiculous. You can make an argument whether it is better or not, but it is not where the industry is moving and you are swimming upstream.

As I’ve been researching the differences between Tesla and Mach-E, it’s crazy to see all the Tesla fan boys and media downplay/dismiss Mach-E outright. They won’t even give Ford a chance.

To be fair, the published specs of the MME fall short of the Model Y in basically all the important metrics: range, charging speed, and acceleration. Plus that you've got the whole thing of Supercharger Network being superior to the CCS network.

We'll have to see what the MME is really made of in a couple-three months.

Everyone keeps harping on the Super Charger network. Unless you’re taking road trips every week, is that network really a must-have? Seems like charging at home and at Public chargers around town should get the job done.

Everyone's use case and priority of the charging network will vary. Like what most people here's been saying, the majority will be charging in the garage and the Super Charger Network from the other camp becomes a zero value pro column. But there will be others where their travel patterns requires a expansive charging network to meet their needs.

The Supercharger Network is valued because it enables Tesla owners to go practically anywhere they want. You wanna go to Vegas from Phoenix in a Tesla? Not a problem. Same with visiting the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone NP, or Carolina coast. You cannot easily visit these places right now with a CCS car despite CCS stations outnumbering Tesla 3:1.

Tesla builds Superchargers with the intention of selling cars. EA, EVgo and Chargepoint build stations with the intention of...I'm not sure, because the business case doesn't exist to build a standalone CCS charging station.

That looks like a tank and I doubt Nissan will squeeze much range. If it gets 180 miles I'd be shocked. I do think it's fairly nice looking. Nissan has publicly denounced EVs as a viable product. They are in dire straights. We'll see if they can turn around. But not a fan of the company.

Sounds like I should have researched this a little better before ordering a Mach-E haha. So....taking a cross-country, or long road trip will be a hassle for us?
