As you may have seen, the F150 Lightning reviews dropped today and in a few videos people have mentioned the trick is confirmed to not have a 5 second boost limit like the Mach E GT.

The Lightning is built different with different batteries than the Mach E but come on, Ford. Unlock it on the GT or at least tell us “officially” why we can’t have more sustained power.

@OutofSpecKyle gets into it in his lengthy video as does Sofyan at Redline Reciews.

Mach E non-GT doesn't have it either.

Will the Lightning GT, though?
It must be such a fine line for them to decide the GT does need it and the non-GT doesn’t. It’s just a larger motor up front in the GT. Is the strain really that much more?

The GT has a higher spec inverter and DC-DC converter than the other models, so there is the difference there. It’s not just the larger motor. This is why Ford has not approved the non-GT for police duty (police cars have a huge amount of additional electronic stuff, and the non-GT inverters/converters cannot keep up). 😊🤷‍♂️🐩
