I came across this Portable Home Battery and thought being able to charge at an EV charger was interesting. You may be able to use one for an emergency Level 1 recharge, but it would take about 3 hours to gain 9 miles of range. I suppose if you use a 24A Level 2 charger it could take 30 minutes to get the 9 miles.

With how big thats gotta be (for any of the larger ones, the 3.6kwh one would be kind of useless IMO) I'd probably just rather have Ford tow me to a faster station. Even if they took an hour to pick me up if I could get to an L2 or L3 I'd probably come out ahead

Couple points - charge it from an EV charger.... And it looks like it has a 240v port, maybe get 20 amp to charge the car 20 miles / hr ? lots of potential here.

It actually has a J1772 for charging it up.

What about a plug in the trunk area that you could plug an external battery into? Of course custom batteries that would be reliable and not heat too much. Something to provide an extra 100 miles ? So maybe a 40 kw battery? Would provide extra range although the weight might be an issue.
