I subscribed to Ford News's email blast last week and this came through this morning;

the Mach-E production pause is not being blamed on a lack of semiconductors, but an unrelated parts shortage instead.

I wonder if they paused production to stockpile HVBJB battery parts for all of the ones in the field that are failing. Ford seemed to all-of-a-sudden have a lot of them on-hand to ship on an emergency basis...

Yikes!
Wonder how many 22 orders will become 23’s because of this

It's just 2 days.
So far. This time. Seems like last year.
I think it’s showing possible difficulties in. completing their 2022 orders just like they were unable to complete their 2021 orders and flopped a good percentage of them over to 2022. And they closed the orders earlier this year.

So they go from the vague "chip shortage" to the even more vague "parts shortage".

and Wall Street keeps buying 2023 production forecasts of 600,000 EVs in 2023. Does anyone think Ford can source, build and keep plants continually running at a 50,000 car per month run rate by December? I don't think it will be anything close to that.

That will also includes their MEB vehicles in Europe, so I think it's possible.

I'm guessing they probably had to send somebody down to Tractor Supply Co. for a whole bunch of star washers to go under that nut on the LVB connector under the frunk panel.

Based on batch numbers reported on this forum, MME production tailed off in late April, possibly related to imminent beginning of mid-year model update which starts 5/2/22 week. Also, typical weekly batch sizes appear to have been around 1700 units. Whereas the 5/2/22 scheduled batches tally around 3300 units. It appears that "scheduled" production would be near double previous week's production. We'll start to see how well Cuautitlan Assembly plant is actually performing as folks see whether their orders are being built or postponed. Watch "build week 4/18/22, 4/25/22, & 5/2/22 chat".
