So how exactly does this work given that the reservation process is totally different than the past system with allocations? Like if you had two dealers in the same city and one was doing 10,000 ADM and one wasn't and 10 people in the area have reservations so they all switch to the one not doing ADMs then the other dealer just doesn't end up selling any Mach e's?

What's to stop a dealer from taking your order and then asking for a 10,000 ADM once it has been built and then if you don't agree they just put it on the lot with the ADM? I have a very early reservation for a GT and the dealer called me last night and asked if I wanted to get a non-GT in January instead and I'm wondering if that's what they're planning on happening.

If they pull a stunt like this, they'll lose probably all 10 of those customers. Forever. In a region with multiple dealers that you're willing to drive to, this would be a supremely dumb move on their part.

If all the area dealers resorted to these tactics, then they all risk losing customers to competing, less expensive brands, or used cars, etc.

Hell, a certain dealer lost my business forever because they wouldn't do A-Plan on a Mercury Marauder, saying that it was going to be too hot to deal on. Obviously there are no more Mercury dealers, but I'll never consider them for a Lincoln, either. It's been half a dozen cars since then.

I just left Lou Fusz Ford in the metropolitan St. Louis area. They are claiming that the Mach E is not available with X plan pricing. Does anybody have concrete written language from Ford that this is the case? Originally, the sales person said that if it was available they would honor the pricing.

Just ordered from Ford of Kirkland after talking to verify details. Details:

Ford of Kirkland, [Kirkland, WA] (no ADM, honors x-plan pricing, refundable if I don't like car when it is at dealership)

That article is outdated. It was written more than seven months ago. It might create more unnecessary stress for some.
Is it still relevant though, are some dealers still charging ADM? I mean just yesterday a poster indicated a dealer who asked for a 1500$ deposit is telling the op that its non refundable. So some dealers are chosing to do their own thing. Is this charging adm still not an issue? If it isnt than ill remove my post.

To put it another way... If you can find ANY dealer charging a $15,000 ADM on Mach-E orders placed via ford.com, let us know.

When that article was published last June, they inferred that MANY or most dealers were doing that, and it was never true.

Akins Ford in Winder, GA will accept AXZD plan pricing for the Mach-E.

This means they can't add markup to a plan price, is that right? I think I read that here on one of the mega-threads.

X-plan fixes your purchase costs for the vehicle itself, if you're a plan member and the dealer is accepting x-plan for the transaction.

They can't markup the vehicle price, other than a limit of up to $100 in dealer documentation fees. (Or less, if this amount is required to be less in your state.)

They CAN still charge for tangible add-ons like "nitrogen fill" in the tires, or window tinting. You would need to negotiate those items or request they not be done.

Get a statement in WRITING (email is ok) with a no-adm statement similiar to mine above. If they won't put it in writing, do what I did and switch to a no-adm-guarantee-in-writing dealer (call the Ford help line on the Mach-E site). Your current dealer will then lose his allocation for your car.

Some dealers will attempt to cheat you by ordering your car without your ok, and without giving you any choice of options. They will then tell you that "the car is now ordered...take it or leave it". DO NOT accept that fraud...call Ford and they'll fix it for you, by letting you change dealers.
