Curious, why go with that charger instead of the mobile charger Ford provided? Both are 240 I think? Trying to decide what I do.

The mobile charger has the plug for a 240 but it cant charge at 40 amps like the one in the wall does. The other reason was I didn't want to have to take it out of the car every time to charge. This is dedicated and the one in the car is for travel and and at $360.00 on amazon it was worth it. I still had to pay an electrician to make the 240

Has anyone tried to buy a second mobile charger in order to keep one in the car and one at home? just curious how much it would cost vs a dedicated wall charger.

There's a thread on that. You can buy a second Ford mobile charger but there are also much cheaper ones on the market. There are lots of EVSE options out there now and more coming every day.
