being able to do the credit app completely within Ford land and not in dealer land was huge for me. I didn't want the dealer to do "shopping around" games on the credit application or any of that nonsense.Whats the benefit, you still need the dealer to sign off. Maybe I am missing something.
it also let me see all the Options stuff light up correctly...
if I was trading in, avoiding the back and forth on that would have been a big deal for me. none of this "gaming the trade-in amount" nonsense. and if I didn't trust the dealer to honor the Ford site, I'd at least have a competitive number to look at Carvana etc. with.
it told me about accessories that I might not have known about...
and, if my dealer had their act together, it could have been a "walk in/dealer drive up, get the keys, tada." I suspect some people will get that "ideal" experience.
if you've ever been through the multihour "sitting wasting time at a dealer while the finance person waits so you're worn down" nonsense...
my dealer, which definitely did not have their act together, didn't do the extended warranty hard push or anything, I suspect because I had been through all of this.
but these are all my takes on it.
