I feel like Ford will get OTA going for the rest of us at least next month. The dealers are just being incompetent again.

I hope that you are right, most owners don't participate in this forum. Do you have anything to base the timing on outside of a guess?

Hello everyone.
Today was some interstate cruising done.
Noticed that are two levels of BC.
On major country roads you have BC with warning box that requires your hands on the steering all the time. Looking forward is required all the time.
Today was interstate driving time.
Upon activation of CC and Lane Keeping, BC engaged with a different display.
BC screen with the Hands Free icon illuminated. It works. I waited for the 2.5.3 update and now here it is.
OTA updates just like Tesla.
I had my reservations but now I have to say that Ford is catching up.
I know everyone has their opinions on the subject but I see that the system (OTA) updates was successful with my Job 1 vehicle. What I am reading in this Forum is various level of successes and failures.
Hopefully all is sorted out soon.

Just got notice after a week of BlueCruise. Dealer-installed updates, all of them. Job 1 car. Everything looks good so far!

Any additional info you can give those of us who are struggling with dealers who don’t know how to complete this work? I’m stuck with no lane centering and on sync 244. I know there are others in my boat.

There were multiple discussions on this end of week. It seems that using the latest FDRS (updated Thursday morning) as well as adding the BlueCruise maps (22P08) is essential. If that doesn't work, doing a PMI on the Gateway module and then on the APIM. Performing 2 hard resets from the FDRS main menu to reset Sync, then resetting the APIM.

That's my "I'm not an FDRS expert or a software developer" take on it.

All of them......as long as they don't get out of the car (or climb through the window).

I'm assuming the tech isn't in the car, doing the updates from outside the car...? Cable through the window? Or they left the door open for hours, then went to lunch (closing door), now opened it again?
