Day 3 Update: It will be at least another day, likely more according to the service manager.

The good news: The dealer has reached out to the Engineers at Ford.

The Bad news: As it is explained by my service manager (who does not speak IT) There is some kind of communications problem between the Ford server or configuration that they see and what is seen in my car.

I feel bad for the tech assigned to my car because they are ~20 shop hours into this without resolution but am hopeful the dealer will get it solved.

The score is still OTA 0 Dealer 0

Next round tomorrow.
Day 4 Update: Still not working. Car is still at the dealer and the dealer can not get a response from Ford. The situation is that all of the modules are updated (confirmed in FDRS thank you forum members!) but no BC available in Sync.

The good news: It appears that once Ford makes the next APIM update for Sync available for my VIN BC could be made to will work with this update (I am hopeful anyway) Sync is at the version that corresponds to 2.4.5 I need the APIM update that corresponds with 2.5.2

The Bad news: It is not clear to me that the right people (maybe any people?) at Ford know they have this problem... there are more than a few cars in this same situation with more added every day as dealers go through the BC update.

The score is still OTA 0 Dealer 0

Ford's IT department probably has its hair on fire trying to figure out which 0 they can make a 1 faster.

(At least that's what I'm telling myself to make me feel better about this update taking so long for us ?)

Who answers the hotline phones at Ford when a dealer calls? Is it actual engineers or just level 1 tech support?

The Clock Has Started ?
My dealer just confirmed their glass company has a sufficient supply of replacement windshields, so they can go ahead with my windshield/pano recall. I asked them to do 21G01 at the same time, so we now have a race! Will the OTA for BlueCruise complete before I go in for the windshield/pano recall? This race is SO exciting ????
2.4.4 arrived yesterday. The escalator seems to move in fits and stops.

Update from my dealer. Dropped the car off at 9am today..got a couple of phone calls from them and they mentioned something along the lines of how I needed do something from fordpass app / online. They had the car all day, drove for about 15 miles. Called right before they close to see if I could get my car back and talked to them a bit.

They said the first round of updates did not work because I did not do something on my end via fordpass (wat?). Need to do another set of updates Monday. Idk if they know what they're talking about, I really feel like they don't.

With that being said can someone check my vin for me (may not work, car may be asleep).

I know you have to have FordPass connect turned on. But if you’ve ever turned it on so that you could use your free charging then you should be fine I think.

I picked up my Mach E about an hour ago with excitement because the service rep told me that Blue Cruise was working and had been road-tested. I even inspected the invoice that also said it was tested on the road for Blue Cruise. Then the wheels fell off of the "good news" truck. Come to find out, after speaking with the technician, he mistook Adaptive Cruise Control for Blue Cruise, and his test drive was on the main road in front of the dealership, not the two interstate routes about 3 miles away. He said he spent 14 hours doing updates and speaking with Ford engineers over the last 3 days. Needless to say, he was very frustrated when I started explaining to him what Blue Cruise was. He admitted that I was his test case to apply the Blue Cruise programming, and he had denied several other requests until he gets my Mach E right so he can learn from his mistakes.

Can I get someone to run my VIN # one more time to see where my updates stand at this point in time? My Sync version is 358 instead of 364. He said he applied all the updates, but the 3 I told him that he didn't update. I am taking my Mach E back in on Monday, and he said he will work with Ford to figure this out because he doesn't want to go through this frustration on the next Mach E.

As frustrating as that is, it does sound like you've got a good tech who really wants to work on these and do it right.

Yes, I am. However I followed the TSB for updating, didn't just wait for Ford to push them.
What Sync Revision are you on?
Dealer did the 21G01 program, and my car now reads version 22028_PRODUCT, Rev 358, and says "BlueCruise On" when I select cruise control on the wheel, but i have not seen any FordPass activation for BlueCruise, and I can't get it to go into handsfree mode. (Is there something else i need to do to turn it on?)

To me, it sounds like the tech can't read English.

From the instructions:

24. Testing BlueCruise to confirm repair (BlueCruise test drive over 0.5 hours is optional).
• Ensure BlueCruise is fully installed and activated by going to SYNC and selecting Adaptive Cruise Control. Ensure Adaptive Cruise Control is turned ON and Lane Centering with Hands-Free is switched ON.
• Ensure availability of BlueCruise operation by going to SYNC and selecting General, then Settings, then About. Ensure the “Hands-Free Driving Mode available” shows a date in the future
• Determine the nearest hands-free Blue Zone roadway entry ramp locations near your Dealership.
• If test drive can be completed within the allocated Labor Time of 0.5 Hours, perform test drive.
