After hearing about all the problems people are having with dealers doing the install, I am even more firm in my decision to wait for the OTA. Sorry to all of those brave people trying this update through the dealer.
I haven't been following all that closely to be honest but from what I've read it sounds like the OTA process is much more prone to issues compared to installing via FDRS. ????

My car is at the dealership now and they will take a swing at it. If BlueCruise can't be installed via cable then I definitely don't want to let it try via OTA. I've already had one scary OTA experience which is one too many IMO....

Either I will get my car with working BlueCruise or not. Doesn't really matter that much to me (as long as ACC and LKA still functions as before...) I just hope I don't get those annoying "watch the road" messages that some people are reporting. That would be very disappointing to have that issue to contend with. I assume they are watching the road but the monitor system doesn't accurately recognize where they are looking ??

Yep. Still 244. I just ran out to the car to squeeze in an update over lunch, and the IPMA and CCM updates disappeared. Now I have cleared everything off the pending update list, and still no APIM. Sigh.

Hopefully it shows up tomorrow? Otherwise, I'll wait until some of these stuck folks figure it out before I buy another 2 day license.
I've attached a PDF showing all my modules and the software versions they are currently on for your reference. This was put together a couple of days after I successfully updated to BC functionality, and includes the other "non-BC" related updates like the door modules, etc. So bounce this against what you're showing with particular emphasis on the GWM and TCU modules first to see where you are. I realize however, that during the process of updating you will get newer versions of the GWM as you go along throughout the day. But this is what it looks like when you're done and everything works.

If I had to make an educated guess, I would suggest it's a combination of several things, based on my own experience doing this. I suspect the steps in the procedures may need to be adjusted because in some cases the GWM modules are not showing up with a new version of the software available after another module is updated. An example is after an update like the APIM there is a new GWM update that shows up in the list, etc. If these are not updated in the proper sequence there is a potential for the process to get hung up. In other cases, one section of the software may successfully update, but another portion does not. So the process can't go forward and the tech doesn't know why and can't figure it out from what FDRS is showing him/her.

Or there may be an issue with the laptop, or VCM II connection, or crappy internet in the work bay.

And given the number of posts showing that the dealer's tech attempted but did not complete 21G01 I would think it's got to be a procedural problem more than anything else.

The 21G01 program announcement makes no mention of only certain "Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 Prep Package (Includes Ford BlueCruise Prep Kit)" Job 1 VINS being selected for update to Bluecruise. The program is meant to get all vehicles up to the same level as the Job 2 vehicles.

The EA program using the OTA method was/is for certain selected VINs. The 21G01 update using FDRS is for all affected vehicles (in the EA program or not) and barring any other procedural hurdles it should complete successfully once the process challenges are identified and overcome. I would expect a message from Ford to be released addressing this soon (like the one for the IPC this morning).

That could be it right there.

OTA is the preferred method. It is much quicker, although broken up over several updates, the longest one takes about an hour to apply. Dealer will likely need at least 2 days to get the car updated, and that's if everything works normally.

Yup. I’d rather wait for OTA as well than let the techs who probably won’t even hook up my 12v let it update over a serial cable, so then I get a dead damaged battery too

All the OTAs for BC installed without issue. I received the first 3 last weekend. The last 3 this weekend and have BC fully installed as of yesterday. Worked really well on the interstate yesterday after 2.5.2 was installed and I got the notification that BC was now active on my MME.

You will. Even when you're not using BlueCruise, the eye nanny is added to the mix once the driver monitoring camera is updated.

That’s my current thinking, on both points. The dealership I went to I. The past seemed to never connect the 12v battery.

Honestly they’d probably be more willing if Ford didn’t make it a PITA to get to it. Still not an excuse though.

Yes, I think I will wait for the OTA’s to get blue cruise! I have an appointment with Weikert Ford on Wednesday for my charging issue but thinking about cancelling out on that as well!

And breaking 8 of the W720957S300 clips in the process and not replacing them and giving your car back anyway. Bonus!

AutoNation Ford St. Pete has probably sold the most of these cars in the area and they still screwed up CSP 21P22 for some people on here, it’s crazy.

You aren't comparing the same things for all those. You are looking at different DIDS

Just comparing the main screen in FDRS that shows the hardware part number and software part numbers, as that is what it looked like he printed out.
