Order Status Changed to Dealer Not Taking Online Orders

I ordered a premium dual motor extended range in October and have been monitoring my ordered status since. The order was confirm with the dealer and showed accepted in the tracker. A couple days ago I got an email that my order status had changed. Excited that I may have a build date I immediately went to the Ford site to find a message that my dealer will not be taking online orders at this time.

I called the dealer who looked up my order and said it was still good and pending a build date, but they said they didn't know why my status online changed. I tried calling Ford who said the same so now I have no visibility to my order status.

Has anyone else seen this before or know if there is another way to track the order?

Not yet. You have to wait until it's assigned a VIN and production week. Until that happens, there won't be any visibility. I know you've been waiting 3 months, but unfortunately, this journey is going to take patience. I strongly believe that, in the end, your wait will be much shorter than those of us that ordered over a year ago.

My dealer says they can see my order and its still pending a build date is all.

I was just hoping to get visibility back to the order status page.

Thanks! You’re right about my wait compared to many on this forum who have waited over a year.I’m just impatient I guess.

I was trying to place an order last week, and the site would let me get all the way to the make a deposit page and then it would freeze. I called the dealer to see if they knew what was going on, and they said just to come in (2 blocks from my house). I went in and he sales-dude say that they were just given the ok to take orders from customers that day and I was the first.

I guessed that the web based order system might have hiccuped when they opened it up to dealers, or that maybe Ford had blocked it while they sorted out the problem causing the delivery delay.

Since it was too late on Friday to place the order, he said he'd call me today when he got the order in. But with the holiday, I am expecting tomorrow. It will be interesting to hear what he knows about the delay (if anything).
