Thanks. Dealer seems to think the 6+ month build time is generous and that they typically see them within 4 months. I also changed the color to the premium Star White Metallic. I saw one on the road after I placed my order and it looks very clean. Any other owners with this paint having any regrets?

Picked up my space white GTPE yesterday and love it. I think either white goes so well with this car with the black accents on top and bottom.

I was expecting it to be fast but it's holy-shit fast from a stop and drives like it's on rails compared to my previous floaty crossover.

You really have to drive it to understand how direct the pedal response to the speed you're going is. With my ICE vehicles, you slam the pedal and there's a delay while the fuel floods the engine, it starts spinning faster until it grabs enough torque to start accelerating hard. With this car, the speed immediately matches how far down the pedal you've pressed.

I'm thinking about getting a little calendar inside the car, "Days since last speeding ticket"

I let my brother drive mine today, “holy-shit” is exactly what he said every time he hit the gas.

That’s about as big a compliment one could get.

And he’s driven plenty of fast cars, owned quite a few himself. Multiple modified 03-04 Cobras. Multiple 12 second daily drivers. Heck the last “fast car” he got to drive was a Ferrari F430 a couple months ago.

And still, it was a “holy-shit” moment.

Yeah, I wish it was 4 months. i would already be driving my GT-PE and not stuck waiting. Come find the rest of us who are waiting for our rides in the Grumpy thread. We’re ejecting a few peeps due to their having gotten their cars.

I would guess the lead times will continue to shrink.

When everyone who preordered converted to an order in April at the same time, that takes longer to deliver all those cars. But now the “line of people in front of you” is likely much shorter.

I have a Star White - the sparkles when in full sun are worth the extra $! Spend a few of your Fordpass points on the $20 touchup paint you'll need for the inevitable rock chips. Paint quality is very good IMHO. Congrats!

hey, have you received any updates? There are others that ordered around when you did, and they are seeing scheduling in late January..

I ordered Grabber Blue. Then say a white one...then a Orange. Hope I don't regret my color choice. Have not seen on in person yet.

I have not received any updates from either Ford or the dealership since I placed the order. I did it online and made sure the dealer looked it over and accepted it the same day. I imagine, based on other forum posts, that once a VIN number is assigned we'll be able to get meaningful updates.

I am tempted to swing by there and seal the deal but I also kind of want to wait till "mine" is built according to my specifications. I am also not entirely sure what to do with the order if I end up purchasing it from the dealer. Is it that easy to cancel online and get the deposit back?

Disregard this entire post. I just called them to make an appointment and they said it was sold within an hour to someone who paid 12k above sticker.
