Placed our order a couple days. Our dealership said estimated delivery is 12 -16 weeks.

That is great and more so if you can get it in 16 weeks. It takes approx 8 weeks from release to plant to delivery so if your build is scheduled in next 8 weeks it is possible.

FYI- If you care about the front plate bracket (as in don't want it) be sure to have your dealer delete it from the order before you get a build date.

I want to do that but he keeps insisting that the factory won't mount it and says I shouldn't believe everything I hear and see on the Mach E forums. I don't want to insult him but I also don't want the plate installed.

Wow, not sure how you can argue with that logic. Normally I would go with his theory but with the number pf photos we have seen. Seems like the sure thing would be to have it deleted from the order, unless he has contacted Ford and confirmed that what we think is happening isn't.

I was kinda thinking I had made enough noise here to have someone from Ford actually just confirm for everyone what the deal is unless I missed it somewhere. Since my dealer has not received any yet they are of the same mindset.

UPDATE: So I called a dealer about 50 miles away that received one. The sales guy said there was not one installed on the vehicle, and that they have not installed it either- it was an order that was declined.

So who knows...

OT of the thread of on the issue of the front plate bracket. It may also differ depending on if the state requires it or not. May be useful information to provide before the conversation degrades to "Will not...will...will not...will..." back and forth. As much as I hope they do not, the samples of what we've seen leans towards the factory installation for states that requires it.

I did text him and asked that the OEM bracket be removed from the order. He replied that he would so I’ll be able to use Craig’s bracket after all. No holes in bumper and I didn’t waste my money!
