I was hoping for some good news by now, waiting patiently is getting old. Do we need to get organized to get their attention or are they really working as hard as they can?
This thread is 5 months old now (I looked). There are a fair number of Ford engineers active in the forum, the former Mach-e chief engineer and current Director of Product Quality is known to lurk here. Several of their software types have accounts here. The odds are about 100% that you have Ford’s attention. As for are they working as hard as they can? Probably. Not everyone can be of assistance in whatever the problem is preventing 1.7.1 from loading on these cars.

I’d not be so arrogant as to suggest more patience, besides I’m not a particularly patient person myself, but I think something has to happen soon. Ford wants all you mainlanders with Job 1 cars coughing up another $600 for BlueCruise. They also don’t want you feeling like you’re not getting the car you were promised.

Some sort of solution is bound to be pushed sooner rather than later. But damn.

Exactly! It was easier to wait when everybody else was just at 1.7.1. But now that several updates have come out, and Blue Cruise updates are now coming out as well, it just got old. It is very frustrating.

It’s pretty clear now that Ford knows it is a hardware issue and they are desperately trying to find a software solution that keeps them from being forced to use an already stained supply of modules.

I have dealer appointments scheduled, once I’ve I got three unaddressed visits I’ll start the buy back. Hopefully Ford will magically find a fix for mine once that starts.

Dropped mine off at the local dealer this morning. The Ford help line had recommended it, so maybe they know the solution. Will report back when I know more.

Mine's at dealer right now as well for my 10K service. Asked if they had any fixes from Ford on 1.7.1 and they said no. However, he did indicate that Ford has an official repair to the problems with the half shafts, which I have experienced as well. Going to get that done in a month, when I get my windshield/sunroof recall taken care of.

Ford and their hack engineers straight up don't care if they ever fix ours cars. They know exactly what hardware is needed and are refusing to fix them because we make excellent guinea pigs for their future Lighting customers. This way their programmers can fart around with trying failed software fix after failed software fix prior to the Lightning rolling out.

They shipped the APIM and Gateway to my dealership and then told them not to install them because they wanted to try software first. My car could have been repaired in December or January, but I am more important as a data point than a customer.

Ford doesn't care. I've purchased multipl Ford vehicles back to the 90's. My first was an Escort. Edge, Explorer, an F250 King Ranch. Currently have this lemon and an F350 Platinum.

They've know what to do for months, and made the active choice to not fix our cars. They already have our money, we don't matter any more.

Well, it could be worse. You could be a European customer, where Ford isn't even trying to go through the motions to support early deliveries. There's simply no response at all.

Well, the dealership already called back and said that the Ford guidance is that there is still no known solution, but they hope to have it by the end of March. Service guy said it was pretty likely that we'd have to bring it back in for the fixer update. ?

The service sheet did note that they attempted to update it via USB and FDRS, fwiw.

Did they replace the gateway module? This is the fix I am scheduled for next week to attempt to resolve the issue.

Unfortunately, In February they said the same thing : 'We hope to have a fix by the end of february' and next month we'll get the same for April....

And I comfirm, in europe, it is worth. No response, no communication, total blackout.
I have an open ticket on my dealer since the end of 2021, with absolutly no reply, no communication, the car can drive ? so it's ok, no pb.

I’m in the same boat! Had my MME 2 times last month for a total of 11 days. Did the recalls and software update would not load onto modules. Dealer corresponded with Ford engineers and said hopefully be resolved by April? I also cant turn on my software updates and no version in sync.
Are we allowed to take this issue up with the lemon laws in my state?

Well, here we go again. Just dropped off Shadowfax at the dealer to try updating with the "new and improved" tooling. I'll update with more information as soon as I get my precious back.
