For all those Job-1 people: (including me)

- if your dealer is unable to update the modules, instruct them to update their FDRS software first. Most dealers seem to be using older versions of the software (I am not kidding) which have known issues for Mach E cars.

- Are you guys getting no information (email , fordpass apps) from Ford for the last year or so? (apart from recall) My assumption is that apart from module failures there is something wrong with the registration-data of the cars. The widget app does not provide update information for my car and I think this goes for all job-1 cars? Or am I wrong: Do you job-1 car owners see the update information using the widget app?
This is really a huge part of the problem. Ford and their dealers are clueless and silent about this.

Adding my 2¢ that I'm now waiting for a replacement APIM at the dealership.

Some notes leading up to this:
  • Got the 21P22 done on November 23rd.
  • Attempted OTA for Power-Up 2.3.0 in January failed.
  • Went in 2 weeks ago as they finally allow recall class work. Also got 10K checkup, and mentioned the updater issues.
  • After a week, they were vague about the updates. Got the FDRS logs pulled and discovered they didn't complete all the steps.
  • Returned Monday for updates, saying they'll pay for a rental.
  • Today informed me the APIM needs to be replaced.
Anyone know how long it takes for the APIM parts to arrive?

Wait so are you stuck on not being able to get 1.7.1 or not being able to get 2.3.0?

Back in January, dealer told me it would take two weeks for the APIM to come in. It took about three weeks, so not bad. I don't know how available they are now.

My Apim took 10 days to come in, then Ford told the dealer not to install it. This was in late December to early January. They told me directly they know it needs the apim and gateway but refuse to put in in while they try and fix it with software.

Ford has out money and doesn’t give a shit about us at all. We’re on our own. The lightning and selling new cars Is all they care about. Existing owners are screwed. We are just Guinea pigs to make the lightning customer journey better.

I wish I’d bought the Tesla.

I imagine it's on the Ford FDRS system (or whatever it's called). My car is at the dealer. I hope they are clued up enough to see it.

I’d call them and let them know. Better to be proactive since too many dealers appear unknowledgeable.
