I'm also in the loaner for 3 weeks club, it'll actually be 4 weeks tomorrow. They've been waiting on cables that were back ordered and various other excuses, been trying to get help from Ford's hot line but just can't figure it out. Very frustrating. On the bright side, Ford's customer relations is saying they are going to cover my gas payments for the loaner and should cover my monthly payment on the car.
Did you ask for gas and payment coverage or was it offered?

Jim - I'm in the same boat as you and wonder the same thing about future Ford Power-Up OTA's and my car's ability to download them. I was told, however, none (new Power-Up OTA's) have come out since mine was updated at the dealer (21G01 using FDRS) and not to be concerned yet so I am not. We'll just have to wait now and see if it happens or we see others having received a new Ford Power-Up OTA and we have not. I'm trying to be optimistic now.
I think that by having our cars updated at the dealership that we are at the 2.8.3 OTA version.

Whatever comes next, we should get it via OTA.

I really hope that Ford has fixed their problems.....

Jim

Here is a new one for me:

When I took my car to the dealership previously, I was able to track the vehicle location from the FordPass app map function. It would also show my phone location.

When I took it in this last time, it no longer showed the vehicle location, just my phone location. I thought it was because they were doing major updates, that it was turned off.

But I still do not have that function in FordPass.

Has that been disabled, or is there a setting I need to turn back on?

Thanks for any info!

Jim

They took the vehicle location function out of FP with the last update. Apparently, wherever your own car is can be known only to Ford and the government. You're just "little people".

I think the term is "sheeple"......

And IMHO, they just didn't want us watching where the car was parked while at the dealership. When I was having the roof and windshield fixes done, I got a call telling me my car was in the shop and being worked on at that moment and would be kept inside until it was done.. Except I knew it was outside at the back of the parking lot and had been for three days!

I asked for it, and explained how much money it was costing me to be without my car.

Well, now I'm concerned. My sync version from the dealership is 415. Anyone that can run my VIN in FDRS to see why? 3FMTK2R73MMA30238

Wanted to post a successful update...

I dropped my car off on April 25 to get the glass recall, 10k mile service, state inspection and the software updates all at once (21P22, 21G01 - BlueCruise, and this TSB 22-2150). The drop off experience was quite frustrating as they didn't believe me when I listed specific TSB's to fix my issues with the OTA. I guy said to "just tell me the symptoms and we'll figure it out". Then I told him the TSB again to write it down and he said "oh where'd you get that, the internet?" and was making it seem like I didn't know what I was talking about. Very frustrating but I insisted they at least write it down in their notes which he begrudgingly eventually did.

After two days I got a phone call that they had broken the windshield and that it would be 7-10 days to get a replacement. I had a rental, so wasn't happy about it but at least had a car. I asked if they could do the software updates while they were waiting on the replacement windshield and he said that they required calibrating the cameras and they couldn't do that without the glass in place. Sounded legit, so whatever.

Finally got a call on the morning of May 11 that the glass had come in and that they were wrapping it up now. He asked if I really wanted them to do the BlueCruise update since it takes so long to do. I asked if they did the other two and he said they did 21P22 and that included the OTA fix. That didn't sound right, but I know they can't do the BlueCruise update without the OTA fix, so I just said I'd wait for them to do the BlueCruise update and mentioned that the long update process would fail if the OTA fix wasn't applied first. He joked around and said that I must be a "computer guy and probably know more about it than him".

Finally got the call the afternoon on May 13 that they had finished everything and that it took them about 12 hours to do the BlueCruise update but it was all done now. I was cautiously optimistic. When I picked it up, lo and behold, everything was done! Now I'm up to Sync Rev 421. In reading the work notes, it said they started the BlueCruise update but it failed and instructed them to to TSB 22-2150 which they did and then it worked. So had I not asked them to do the BlueCruise update, it really wouldn't have been fixed. Oh well, at least it's all done now after almost 3 weeks without it.

Long story short, make sure you're crystal clear with what you need and you'll eventually (hopefully) get it. Most dealerships can help they just kind of get in their own way.

Jim - I heard the Sync version and Power-Up software updates don't correlate. Also, I don't have the software controlled frunk "button" either which supposedly comes with 2.8.3.

Wow...they have been busy recently haven't they?

But in trying to get you sorted out they didn't knock out everything in the 21P22 list like they were supposed to do while doing your 21G01 BlueCruise procedure. The reason I say that is if they had followed the procedure in 21G01 for the BlueCruise properly, at step 19 where they are supposed to stop and do all other module updates shown on page 5 of the 21P22 procedure first, you wouldn't still have those two door modules showing. I mean if they are going to do the door modules, why do just 3 of them and not all 5? Weird.

But to answer your question, in addition to the doors, you have a new APIM and HVAC update, and that GSM which seems to be problematic for some people and might reappear even though it's been updated already.
