It is not public information, and I'm not looking to put someone's job in jeopardy with any more info than that. At this point ANY info is better than NO info that we've officially gotten from Ford. Even the Early Access team I have been in contact with has recently went silent.

I just hope it's not another slow roll out like the last ones have been. Don't wanna get left out again ?
as long as the argument isn't ultimately "Ford should be more aggressive in pushing out updates like Tesla" because...
My car is bricked by a failed update | Tesla Motors Club
Software update bricked my car | Tesla Motors Club
2018 Model S 75D "Bricked" after software update | Tesla Motors Club
My Tesla finally got bricked by unavailable center console. — Tesla Forums
etc.

conservative is good in this case. there is such a thing as "too conservative" but I have confidence that as Ford does this more and gains more experience and confidence, the pace will pick up somewhat.

talk to your doctor. there's medication for that now.

side effects may include anxiety over now experiencing too much and wanting to miss out

This is the problem right here. We should all be receiving a communication with specific info, timing, and content of updates. Secret BS.

I can actually see why they don't announce anything. It gives them freedom to do what they want, when they want. That way if they decide to change something (for example pushing the date back from today to tomorrow/Monday) then they don't have the backlash from the likes of us.

At that point we could start throwing rocks and saying "but you said that x was coming on this date!". So from that perspective I can see why they'd rather just keep it a secret and have freedom.

That being said, I agree with you. Even if they leave themselves wiggle room, I would sure appreciate better communication. They have been very lacking in communicating who gets updates and when, even after release.

I would much @Ford Motor Company rolls out the Power Up 1.7.1 out before the end of next week so I have a few days to make sure my car is working properly before I go on a 12 day road trip.

Thats a valid point but, i would much rather them be transparent and say sorry we missed x feature but, it will be in the next update. Also, some of us are ford share holders. They should be as transparent as possible with their share holders.

I suppose if you're worried about it, you could always turn off your automatic updates temporarily

I turned auto update off, notifications on. While on a solo road trip (NC—>NJ—>NC) was notified of an update. I waited until I got home to install. It worked fine, but I didn’t want to chance it. That was 1.6, a few days later got 1.4.

The download can fail (bad connection), so it retries a few weeks later. I think that's how they sometimes install out of order.
