What does it show up as for you on your network list? I have Google Wifi and see "SYNC" as an item. I'm assuming that's it...
The Sync connection is the actual Sync OS connecting to wifi from the APIM. The TCU wifi connection is what actually downloads the module update files.

I don't recall ever seeing SYNC connect. Only the TCU. I assume most of the connections are transmitting charge and trip logs.

Early Access is still a thing? I thought it became as dead as MySpace after they sent out the “invites” to be among the first to get BlueCruise, then began shipping production vehicles with BlueCruise without doing anything to Early Access people.
A perspective that is hard to disagree with but ...

I suspect that the Early Access program for Blue Cruise is still alive. The number of GT's delivered and running around with BC is fairly small. Getting Blue Cruise out to early access participants will help Ford gather additional data for bug squashes early on for the released product or perhaps trigger a change if something big pops up.

I think we can safely presume though that BC is late. Just like pretty much everything else in the pandemic-riddled world we live in.

So, I would offer the following: @Ford Motor Company obviously believes the software is sufficiently ready to put into production, retail vehicles, otherwise there would not be GTs that have been sold with the software. So, it can’t be the BlueCruise software specifically, that is delaying deployment. It must be something unique to the GT that they have to overcome. I think it’s the illuminated pony ?
All joking aside, I suspect BlueCruise muse be dependent on some other software in the vehicle being at a certain revision and they can make sure all the cars being built at the factory are loaded with that revision, but they haven’t figured out how to deploy what ever that piece of software is yet (it may not be over the air updateable or something - or worse, they hay have discovered a hardware dependency late in development ?)

Quite possible. I'm a (retired) airline pilot by trade. I can authoritatively say a lot about airplanes. There are a fair number of people with engineering backgrounds here who could speculate far better than I can. Unfortunately, the Ford people that know are either no longer here and most assuredly could not tell us anyway.

I used to be an engineer in a prior life a long time ago, until they moved me to someplace where I could do a lot less harm - management ? I still have an instinct for how very complex hardware/software systems (like say interplanetary spacecraft, large data networks, or my printer on my home network ?) might work from a system level, and I have a fairly decent “spidey sense” when there might be program delays on a large program and can make some guesses as to potential program issues that would drive them ?
I’d love to see the Mustang Mach E RAID log or even just the Risks and Issues Register ?

I bet we won’t hear anything till this Friday and then an announcement that it won’t be ready till next quarter. They have until September 30 to deliver if not!

I very much suspect the issue is indeed with the OTA process to deliver the BC software. As stated, since it is apparently functional in cars which have had it installed at the factory, the most logical remaining variable is the delivery/installation NOT done at the factory.

I mean, if I've learned anything from the likes of Apple and Microsoft, it's that Q3 means December 10th
