OTA Power Up 2.3.0 Is out

Got a notice while driving the update failed . Doesn't show as stuck in the settings screen but it no longer shows what version I have, just says system is up to date. The update failed message, which was gone once I cleared it from the screen, said the car would try to update again next time there was an OTA push, which I assume means for the next release but perhaps they give the same release another shot?

I saw an example last year where a failed OTA got re-attempted roughly 2-3 weeks later, IIRC.

No. Anyone who paid the $600 price increase for BlueCruise got a car that came with BlueCruise. Those of us that bought the car before the $600 increase actually got a $100 credit to acknowledge that it didn't have BlueCruise yet.

It amazes me how many people complain about not getting the BlueCruise update that they paid for or saying that Ford should give them their $600 back when they never actually paid for it. They're actually $100 ahead.

It just seems……… odd how they’ve picked who gets what features.

We all bought 2021 Mach E’s. If the features (Bluecruise, frunk button, faster charging, etc) are available, shouldn’t we all get the same one?

They haven't paid for bluecruise if they don't have it in the car yet. Job 2 cars has the cost of it in the price, job 1 cars will have to pay to activate it once it's released to those cars.

I know what my car has (Bluecruise).

What amazes me more is how many people act like all the changes I noted above are somehow clear or common knowledge.

I know them because I read about them daily on this forum, but it’s not like Ford has been clear about this stuff for the common consumer.

Imagine trying to buy a USED 2021 right now and having to try to figure out what it does and doesn’t have in terms of options and updates (without having spent months on this forum). Good luck!

Sorry, I don't know what it's like to buy a car (used or new) without doing a ton of research first. But I don't see how which updates a car has received should factor into the purchase decision.

It would matter if you want Bluecruise. Or the faster charging. Or both.

It’s as important as ANY option (like panel roof, heated seats, ER battery etc).

Now how important each of those is depends on the buyer. It could even be the deciding factor.

Even worse could be it some GT models get the 5 second limit removed and others don’t. Hell itself could open up!

Software updates that are coming are not the same as hardware differences. But I don't feel bad for anyone who buys a car without doing any research. They have access to the same information as the rest of us.

Update came in today for me after a quick trip or this morning. Normally, I'm 10-14 days after the first announcement.
