I distinctly remember someone here saying that updates were not sequential. That each update dealt With different parts of the software. If this is true one update will not make another obsolete, no?
Yes, except 1.7.1 and 2.3.0 both update the same module, the APIM. So the more recent one should in theory bypass the old one. Unless of course the updates are not cumulative for each module.

The real question is, if someone had trouble installing 1.7.1 does that mean they will have trouble installing 2.3.0.

Short answer, there is no one version. The only thing you can check is what the latest OTA update you received is. Go to settings, system update, it will ā€œcheck for updatesā€ and tell you.
unless, as in my case, the car tells you only ā€œYour system is up to dateā€.

I had that too after 1.7.1 installed. All the updates were there, but it never completed so I never got the notification in FordPass or on screen.

That would be annoying. Iā€™m still having issues with 1.7.1. Currently canā€™t toggle auto updates on or create a schedule.

I donā€™t have the blocks game but my car tells me itā€™s up-to-date. Iā€™m confused.

ā€œUp-to-dateā€ seems to mean a few things.

1. Your car is a Job 2 (Late June or later) and since there have been no updates for Those cars your is truly up-to-date.

2. Youā€™ve had an update fail and the car isnā€™t really clear where it stands.

3. You received an un-numbered OTA.

Thanks. Itā€™s new so it must be job 2. Hopefully thatā€™s it!

My First Edition is still stuck with 1.6.0 here in the Netherlands . Hopefully my dealer will provide me some updates the moment I'll bring the car for a glass roof recall next week.
Can you remind me which OTA version comes after 1.6?

My dealer updated my car with 21P22 (and some other modules that showed up in FDRS) first week in December. After that my Sync4 canā€™t be properly set in dark mode and I can get the car communicate with fast charging stations (Plug & charge). The only OTA update Iā€™ve got so far was in July 2021 (believe it was 1.6.1) and since then the OTA json info looks like below. It looks completely stuck.

Iā€™m going to leave my car to the dealer mid this week for them to fix the problems appeared since their last update. Any suggestions what updates they need to apply? I really like to have 2.3 but thatā€™s probably just a dream.

Those that got this one, did you guys also get 2.1.0? If so, how long did you get 2.1.0?
I just got 2.1.0 2 days ago. But it completely reset my remote setup and I had to add everything back. It says I "requested" to have fordpass deleted, but I did not.
