I want to disagree, but then I think I’ll end up stuck somewhere out of cell service and trying to remember where the jack points are or how to pop that cover off the bumper and what exactly those wires do.

At that point I would probably pay many multiples of that $ amount.

Why not just download a PDF file of the manual onto your phone?
The 400+ page manual works just fine on a phone. No need for an internet connection when you open the file - and using the 'search' function works great.
