Note- I haven't gotten mine updated yet for the PAAK software update, but was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. Basically I get the impression as it is right now the car can't distinguish between a phone in the car, and a phone outside the car. My wife expressed concern about this so we tested it, she got in with PAAK, locked the car, and I attempted to break into the car from the passenger side. When the phone was placed on the charging console the car would not open for me from the outside (good) but the moment she picked up the phone, or I placed it on the passenger side, the passenger side door would almost always open from the outside, as in one or two presses of the button (bad). Just a PSA, given this, if anything it's inconsistent, I'm going to deactivate PAAK, stick to the fob for now, and see what happens after the recall update.
