And yeah, the 3.35 update definitely broke PaaK for me, which was working fine beforehand. I'm using the Fob for the first time ever since bringing it home in March.
... I have a q for you....
exactly HOW did you update? did you un-install and re-install FordPass?
or, did you go to PlayStore and use the 'update' button on the app listing?

Yeah - manually updated on the Google play store when I noticed it was available. That's how I've always done it.

Yeah - manually updated on the Google play store when I noticed it was available. That's how I've always done it.


I was just asking in case you tried a delete and re-install...
...I'm glad I have auto-update turned OFF for now, still running 3.34

Ah, ok. Didn't try, but I assume that would work IF you also created a new key in the process

Ah, ok. Didn't try, but I assume that would work IF you also created a new key in the process

right... I just remember what a nightmare I had with my original install... It was very difficult to remove EVERYTHING to get a completely clean re-install when I was first trying to get PAAK working and set my Backup StartCode.

If you do decide to remove and start over, you might want to search for those early threads on what it took to do a clean install on Android. (Especially old Androids like my Galaxy J7)

Once I got it running, I turned auto-update OFF because I was afraid to break it. I ran 3.24 for months doing 'force stop' to prevent battery consumption, but then FP 'unsupported' that version, and I updated to 3.34 happily since they fixed the battery consumption problem.

Been through it already in the past. Funny - I remember 3.24.0, because that's the version where that horrendous battery drain started, along with my habit of force closing it every time I was done driving.

Thanks Ford. We know not to trust PaaK. Give us early adopters a 2nd fob and I'll stop raising the issue.

PaaK is a POS. Three times in 24 hours it hasn't fully worked. Backup start code doesn't always appear, takes several restarts, and 10-20 seconds to appear. POS

I don’t know about anybody else but my FordPass is MUCH snappier this morning.

And, the time zone for departure time is saved!

The system maintenance must have done something.

My FordPass app doesn’t launch after this maintenance outage. Prior to outage I had no issues so far with the app or PaaK or the car. App tries to launch and then crashes. Does anyone else here have the same issue?
