Hey Mach-E owners,

We wanted to give you all a heads up regarding an upcoming PaaK outage. On Sunday, November 28th from midnight to 6am EST, we will be updating and improving our internal systems. While these updates are taking place some outages are expected. Existing keys should continue to work but new key downloads would be affected. Details are below for the features and functionality you may see unavailable during this window. Thank you for your patience and support while we work on this. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!

What's impacted:
1. PaaK (Setup)
a. Key registration and deletion will be impacted
b. Will be able to access the existing key
2. Delay Plug-in Charge
a. Plug and Charge Toggling – will not work during this time
b. Vehicle data may be unavailable during this window
3. Delay Auth/Master reset:
a. Authorization/activation – might be successful in authorizing, but calculating capabilities and auth enablement will be queued until updates are complete
b. Master reset – similar impact as auth, cloud updates will be queued

@Ford Motor Company should continue to use this forum to provide updates like this. An excellent update would be to explain exactly what the customer satisfaction update that just came out will improve/enhance.

You're seriously doing this over a holiday weekend when people are away from their home and rely on their vehicle???? You're joking right? Have you really thought about how ridiculous this sounds? What if there is an issue on your end and delays occur or something doesn't come back up properly?

Does this mean that PaaK does NOT have to “phone home” to work? How about the car password to start and operate the car? Does it have to “phone home” to work?

Telecom companies: "No work on brownfield systems during the moratorium." Ford: "Hold my beer."

Chill out. Nothing listed affects normal vehicle function.

We've heard that from Microsoft, Apple, power companies, phone companies, the tax man, email exchanges..... Those of us who whitnessed the dawn of the digital age cringe every time we hear 'All's well, we're just fixing something. Nothing to concern yourself with'.

Thank you for the heads up....as I read it, seems that NEW PAAK set-ups won't be able to be done at this time (not a bid deal to existing PAAK users).

The bigger item for noticed might be the Plug and Share availability....so appreciate the update. Would be good to send a notice out through FordPass.

I would agree that if it were me doing this I wouldn't have planned it over one of the busiest travel holidays in the entire year as a "just in case" scenario.

I would also think that this would best be pushed to FP via a notification or in car. There's thousands upon thousands of people who don't visit this forum who own MME's.

I do however appreciate the heads-up.
