Paak question involving reinstalling App

Okay, so after the most recent update, my FordPass app kept crashing and my car didn't charge or charge properly two nights in a row. So, I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Then, it asked me to set up the phone as a key. I had previously done it. I tried using the name that prepopulated, but the app told me that name was already taken. So, I changed it a little. That is not syncing. Any thoughts? I use a fob anyway, but I do like to have that redundancy.

Owner's manual, page 63: "Resetting Phone As A Key"
So, the solution is to delete the backup code, door code and all codes to reset it. That is just not efficient. Oh well.
