Can't believe I am writing that.
Wife and I have spent the last week edging beds and spreading 30 yards of mulch. Today we knew a storm was coming, so we worked through lunch. Decided to eat around 2 and couldn't open the garage. Realized the power was out, noticed neighbors' generators running. Keys inside the house. Rain and wind coming in an hour. Hungry, wife wants to use bathroom.
Car was in driveway because we had to to get to stuff in front of it.
After unsuccessfully trying to catch the pull rope with a coat hanger (I have it secured), used PAAK to drive to friend's house, use bathroom, and eat some food.
Guess it is good that it worked...
Power came back on 2 hours after it went off. Storm was uneventful.
