Bummed.

After waiting for 10 long months, finally took delivery of a gorgeous Iced Blue Silver MME on July 16 with clear instructions to the dealer not to wash the car. Drove a dirty car for 2.5 weeks & 240 miles till I could get it scheduled for a frontend PPF install at a well-known, top notch detail shop in Chicago.

The shop called me today to let me know that once they hand washed my car, they found paint peeling off the driver side plastic roof trim (~4 inches in length) and paint bubbling on the roof spoiler that is connected to the lift gate.

Now we wait till the dealership opens on Monday to see what they can do about this.

Note: I’d advise everyone, especially my peeps from the 5/16 Build Gang, to check the roof trim for any paint damage.

Holy crap, that's insane. Was someone taking a siesta at the paint shop at the factory in Mexico?

It’s a trim piece painted by a supplier. Wasn’t noticeable till they washed the car.

Sounds like it's the trim piece only? Should be easy for the dealer to order one and swap it out I would think
