Is it apparent the line between the hood that is covered and the part that is not?

We had a partial clear bra on our Prius. Yes, if you look for it the line is apparent. It can also become obvious when the car is dirty. I prefer for a panel to either get PPF or not, no 1/2 way.

You can also consider graphene which may be harder. The jury is still out on it but I have seen it on a couple of cars and it seems as nice as ceramic. I ordered the interior ceramic and windshield ceramic.

It’s done! He will have to put back my Mach-E4X next week because he didnt had the right tape and his shop is having a full epoxy floor right now so cant access.

Looks great - what did he do around the pony badges? cut around or cover them? Did he cut around the front air grills?

He cut around the pony badge, and I dont think he can apply the ppf on the plastic front air grills?

Just confirmed that XPEL templates are available!

Booked my Mach-E to go in next Wednesday for Full Hood/Fender/Mirrors, Front Bumper, Headlights, and A-Pillars (seems there's no template for partial A-pillar so he's going to custom that). Quoted around $2000 to do it.

Just asked my local place. They offered 2 packages. One with front bumper, 24" of hood and fenders, and mirrors caps, for $1000. Other had front bumper, full coverage of fenders, full hood, and mirrors for $1850. Both include the 'wear and tear' components: door cup inserts, door edges, door sills, rear luggage area.

Excellent. They were using my car for the scans and measurements.

I asked them to look at the insides too at the few glossy black surfaces.

Precut templates are now listed on XPEL's website too! Neat to see the small stuff which might not be impossible to DIY and not a huge write-off if I screw it up.

I scheduled my PPF and Ceramic appt for 1.5 weeks from now (the soonest they could book their PPF expert).

Indeed they are - though with an unexpected submodel that I'm not sure we're ready for.... ?
