Got mine done Saturday with SunTek's new Reaction film, looks pretty good- if anything the hood looks even more glossy now than before. I haven't taken any pics after, but here is one in process. Had full hood done, partial fenders, mirrors, full bumper (including the black gloss parts), black door pillars, door edges, headlights, and rear trunk lid. I have some additional pieces of film for use later. If it weren't so expensive I would have covered all the black plastic on the car.

The film pretty much conceals the pits, defects obtained from the long QA in KC, and blemishes left from the front plate bracket. Still waffling on replacing it, using the plugs, or fabricating a low profile bracket myself.

So happy to finally get it out on the freeway, first time over 50 mph after the install.

Where'd you go? I'm in the east bay and looking for a PPF install

Hello, everyone. I wanted to share my recent experience with XPEL installation with you and offer a recommendation to owners who are considering it who live in Southern California.

Elite Clear Bra at 7712 Talbert in Huntington Beach was recommended to me by several persons on "Nextdoor" in response to my request for a trusted XPEL installer for my new Mustang Mach-E. What struck me about their recommendations was that many had taken more than one vehicle to Elite.

I contacted Elite and was promptly sent full details and pricing of their service, as well as their availability. I really appreciate how efficiently and courteously Sandra responded to all of my questions. She was head and shoulders above other installers I contacted in HB and the nearby area in this respect.

I took my car in on the appointed day and was greeted promptly and expediently. The check-in process was quick and easy, as I'd reviewed the various services I wanted in advance, thanks to the detailed information I received. I opted for the Elite package, which included front bumper, grill, full hood, mirror and rocker panel installation. My wife concurred with Sandra's suggestion of the package, given the likelihood that the Mach-E's blacked-out rocker panels would be prone to chipping, and show them.

The installation took ~ 7 hours, was finished on time and my car was ready as agreed the next morning. I left it with Elite overnight for the XPEL to "cure" sufficiently and presume the Mach-E wasn't lonely - there were Teslas, Mercs and Porsches in Elite's facility getting the same service, too.

Craig, the owner, reviewed the work that had been done when I picked up my Mustang and how best to care for the areas where XPEL had been applied. He also covered the warranty details, how best to maintain it, and gave the installation a final inspection to ensure that everything had been correctly. When I looked at the work, both at Elite's facility and when I got the Mach-E home, I was amazed at how precisely and well it had been done. I couldn't find anything to fault, and would concur with the Next-door commenter who said that "Elite was the only company they would trust with their vehicles". I also noticed that film had been applied to the top area of my rear bumper, which was a nice added touch to protect against suitcases, etc. that could mar the paint.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with the quality of work performed, the manner in which my Mach-E and I were treated, and the professionalism of the team at Elite. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in having XPEL or other treatments applied to a prized new vehicle.

Cost for the work performed lists at $2995 but discounts may be available to Huntington Beach and area residents.

Nice. I got mine done, about like yours except I did the A pillar up to the glass roof instead of the rocker panels. Mine was $2,863 at UltimateShield in Orange. Happy with it so far. Tried to get the manager to let me borrow another car to get home. Didn't go for it. It's a plug-in for a plug-in, didn't see what the problem was.

My final price after discounts, etc. was $63 less than yours inclusive of everything. The installer is 5 mins from my house so it was very convenient. I wouldn't have wanted to take anything else home that they had: I'm not a Tesla fan, don't care for Corvettes and have had bad previous experiences with German cars. My previous 3 cars have been problem-free Fords. Make mine a Ford. :)

I'm having my Xpel done as I type this. I went for a clear "bra" which is partial hood, complete grill and front of mirrors. Price $995. I'm also having my body side moldings installed, my Ford bumper applique applied and the door edge guards installed for an additional $150.

I also upgraded to their signature wrap which wraps around things like the hood so that the PPF doesn't just end at the seam between hood and fender.

I'm in the process of getting mine done as well using Xpel Ultimate. Full front bumper and hood, headlights, side mirrors, A-pillar, rocker panels, all fenders (black trim area), partial rear bumper. After listing it all out like that it is damn near a full wrap ?.

This is a small shop here in Sacramento, but it is highly rated. I expect to have my car back in the next day or two. Total price $2,200. They've had my car for about 4-5 days, but for the price I can't complain too much.

Just got mine back this past weekend. Since they took longer than expected they threw in a free ceramic coating. I'm not going to lie, I feel a lot less stressed driving on the freeway now that I have the PPF installed. It is far from cheap but with all the communing I do it is money well spent.
