My car is apparently in the Gulf of Mexico somewhere, looking for a port. Or it is just about to hit KC. I have no idea but I keep checking palsapp hoping it is really in KC.

That's interesting. Maybe you are getting an European-spec vehicle! ?

All shipments from Veracruz passing through US ports so far have been destined for Europe. The most recent batch with 2,316 Mach-E's were on board the Italian-flagged Grande Baltimora, making a port call in Baltimore, MD on 9/26, departing the following day. The ship arrived Antwerpen on 10/13.

@mkhuffman, maybe they pulled the VVR on the wrong car?

And yet another! Mine just updated in Palsapp today...Birmingham, MO....and I'm in Aurora, Colorado (Denver)

I did the 'thing' with Palsapp to get the hidden info....So...I"ve read through all these posts, and I'm still unclear of what all this means? I looked up the dates on the epoch converter....but I'm confused as my car's destination is the Denver area....and it's on Norfolk Southern? Is that a thing?:

I checked and my Vehicle is on the same TripNumber as yours. Mine is the only GTPE out of a total of 9 vehicles.

I doubled checked the VIN - it matches my car. I really hope they don't plan to offload it in Baltimore before heading out to Europe. I can't image how slow that will be. I am hoping it is just a mistake, and have been checking palsapp several times a day, hoping it is really in KC!

Thanks for sharing this. While I am still hoping my car is near or in KC by now, if it really is on an ocean vessel headed to Baltimore, do you have any idea how long it takes to get there? Maybe it is about the same as the slow train to KC and then DE.

Hey, you know if my car is a EU spec vehicle, I get a tow hook! That would be very cool.

I don't think your car was actually shipped via the Port of Veracruz. Back in December before the first batch of US deliveries started, I thought deliveries to the East Coast might be through Veracruz, because some of the "Origin" locations shown on palsapp.com were possible ports for receiving the vehicles, such as Jacksonville, New Castle (Port of Wilmington). But soon my speculations were proved wrong as trains started rolling into Kansas City.

For Ford vehicles brought in by ship for US deliveries, Transit Connect for example, the consignee is Ford Trading Company; the consignee on all Mach-E shipments that have reached US ports is Ford Werke GMBH. Lately they are in such large quantities they have to be for customer deliveries in Europe, although I don't understand why they were unloaded at US ports, especially when the ship crossed the Atlantic shortly afterward. The earliest arrival was dated June 13, 2020, with just two vehicles. Obviously they were pre-production cars but the VIN's on the manifest are interesting: WF0TK1E76MMA00120 and WF0TK3SU4MMA00123.

For those of us along the eastern seaboard (I'm still waiting for my Feb. order), if our cars were actually shipped out of Veracruz, it would likely be quicker than going through Kansas City by rail. Grande Baltimora last docked in Veracruz on 9/18, departed a day later, and arrived Baltimore on 9/27.

I believe that means your car has been taken off the Mexico train and is “delivered” to the line that will make its way to Ohio.

I've been attempting to track my car but haven't been able to get VVR from my dealer. Both of our cars were shipped and arrived in KC on same dates, so I'm just sitting here seeing if you get any updates . My car is being delivered to eastern NC hopefully by 11/9. I'm hoping for a little earlier but we shall see.

I’m hopeful I get the call this week. We’ll see! Good luck to you

I am very skeptical as well, but there is the VVR that says my car is on an ocean vessel. I will ask for a new VVR from my dealer tomorrow. He also followed up with his Ford rep on Friday and the rep also thought it was very strange, and was going to look into it. In any case, it is good to know the trip from Veracruz to Baltimore is quicker than the train to KC. I think if they do take the car off in Baltimore, they will probably truck it to NJ. Makes little sense to put it on a rail for that short trip.

By the way, it seems you have found a way to track ships. Is that something I can do if it turns out they are really using ships to move cars into the US? It might be irrelevant anyway because it has been over two weeks (mine shipped 10/1) so my car should either be in Baltimore, or KC by now. Or very soon.

My dealer has been adamant that the estimated arrival date on the ford tracker page is what day it would show up. intially i didnt even tell them when it was and they gave me a estimate almost identical to it verbally.

The customs manifests for products unloaded at US ports are searchable at importinfo.com, they are one day or so behind as they pull fresh data from US Customs nightly. I have no way of knowing where the ships are, other than the public information that anyone can find through Google :)
