I was driving my GTPE on the highway today, 68°, sun shining, pretty high state of charge. And yet look how many bars were on the power meter. I’ve never actually seen that many and I got this car in the dead of winter!
Anyone seen that many in what seem to be pretty optimal conditions?

Black magic. I have the same SOC right now (79%) coming back from lunch and it’s 52 deg outside and sunny. I only have 2 bars.

Dang, I have never seen that many gray bars. Were you just hammering your car or driving at a high rate of speed? If not, then there is some other unknown factor involved. 🤷‍♂️😕🐩

Nope, not at all driving hard. Super weird.

Just out of curiosity (getting my GTPE next week) did you pre-condition before you got the jail bars?

Nope, had it plugged in in the garage, unplugged, and drove. Same as I’ve usually done, but never bars like this.

What color is your car? Maybe it's possible that the sun is baking your car? What speed were you driving at and for how long? Maybe the motors were overheating instead of the battery?

Grabber blue and it was only outside for probably 30 minutes driving. Probably driving at 55 to 65 for 15-20 minutes? Very mild stuff.

Unbridled extend? I did that the other day and looked exactly like that number of gray bars
Nope, was in Calm mode funny enough, or whatever the hell it’s called.

That's very strange. If it keeps showing the bars for limited power, I would take it in to the dealership to have it checked, it's possible there could be an issue with the coolant loop or something.

I’ve only seen a bunch of gray bars in these conditions for about 10 minutes after I got done DC fast charging.

Underneath the percentage logo you can see a number of small grey lines. They limit the power on the GT models.

Interesting. Then yes, one would assume these bars are related to heat and the battery…but I wasn’t fast charging. So strange.
