Sorry have to disagree with you as a generalization. Ordered my gt in April. Got it 10 days Go at phil long in denver. No issues besides they needed to call ford for details on option plan. Xplan pricing taken no problem, not added items, and option at 1.4% everybody was very professional and helpful. Couldn't of gone smoother.

I’m not sure how siloed the different locations are, so each location could have a very different MO. But I also had a not so great experience with the Colorado Springs location (they intimated that the price with adm included was msrp - there was a tiny little superscript 1 next to the word msrp but there was no 1 in the fine print anywhere, and the rest of the fine print that was visible had no mention of it).

It's amazing how short-term some dealers are being with their present good times. Customers will remember and go elsewhere. Some dealers in my area are playing the same game and they will never get my business.

I expect every dealer to at least try something during the process that will feel pretty shady to get a few more dollars out of my pocket. It is what it is, be confident, use your leverage (ie prepare to walk to your plan B) and only say yes to a deal you like. Assume almost nothing the dealer says is firm until in writing.

Note: I have an order with this said dealer at the Motor City location. Order process has been fairly straight forward with just needing to bug them once in a while to check status. They did offer me onsite GTPE for MSRP, but the GTs on the way in have a crazy mark up at the moment. We shall see how it turns out upon delivery of those GTs or my original order. As my real need date approaches I will be making lots of offers MMEs I like for MSRP and pull the trigger once it happens.
