Pretty sure that was an option if you don't have your phone or fob. Pin to enter the vehicle and pin to start the vehicle.Does anyone know if Mach E will have the Pin-to-Drive (enter the pin before you can drive) like Tesla has on their cars?
I agree. I thought that was the case too. There is the key pad on the B pillar and put in a pin to drive on the touchscreen. And a Valet mode to allow for driving without the 'key' (or phone).Pretty sure that was an option if you don't have your phone or fob. Pin to enter the vehicle and pin to start the vehicle.
Yep. I've seen the PIN# to open the door and to start the engine in numerous videos.I agree. I thought that was the case too. There is the key pad on the B pillar and put in a pin to drive on the touchscreen. And a Valet mode to allow for driving without the 'key' (or phone).
What pin are you going to set? (oh, and where do you think the car will be parked / garaged?) Just curious, is all ...Does anyone know if Mach E will have the Pin-to-Drive (enter the pin before you can drive) like Tesla has on their cars?
My Tesla has a "pin-to-drive", set by myself feature so when I enter the car, I need to enter the pin, it will automatically adjust the seat, mirror, etc. before I can drive. This is a secondary feature to prevent theft. Some sophisticated thieves used the fancy remote unit to steal the car remote control code for those who parked outside their home with no garage while their remotes are inside the house. The pin-to-drive was developed based on customers' requests. What pin are you going to set? (oh, and where do you think the car will be parked / garaged?) Just curious, is all ...
