This is the largest showing of electric vehicles on the east coast. Only four Mach Es registered to attend so far. I'll be there and will drive Marlin in the Poolesville Day parade that morning. Let's see how many Mach E colors we can get!

Reminder: Poolesville Day Electric Vehicle Show is tomorrow. I'll be driving Marlin in the parade, then will be parked in the parking lot at Anytime Fitness after the parade.

The event officially starts at 10 am and goes to 4 pm. You can come for an hour or stay all day. You can come as early as 7:30 am if you want.

The Parade: The Parade vehicles have been selected and contacted already and should know when and where to arrive. The Parade starts at 10 am and goes until just after 11 am. No non-parade vehicles are allowed on the closed parts Elgin or Fisher until after the parade.

Zero Motorcycle is here (behind Bassett's) as part of their DC leg of their "Zero Motorcycles Experience Electric World Tour". Go check them out! If you ride, take a demo. Signup at https://zeromotorcyclesdemorides.as.me/Poolesvile

Nissan will be showing off their new Nissan Ariya (Anytime Fitness Parking Lot)

Montgomery County will be here (Near Jamison's) with two Mach-E Electric Mustang Police Cars!

Latest email:
Hello All!!!
It is less than two days away!!!
We are working hard to make everything come together. Lots to do. It looks like we will have the most Registered EVs out of all of the other NDEW events around the world (and it is not even close)! Out of 215 events, we are number one with 230+ EVs registered (and growing), the next closest is 88 EVs. But this success comes with its own issues, mainly parking.

In 2019 we had the large field behind "Blue Hearth"(to the side of Bassett's off W. Willard). That field is no longer available to use (So DO NOT try to park there). We have added another field behind Jamison Real Estate (at the intersection of Fisher Ave (Rt 107) and Elgin Rd (Rt 109)). The bad news, it is a bit smaller, the good news, it is closer to the main event. Our goal for this event is severalfold. It is to make sure you have a good time, but also to teach the general public about EVs, to show them what is available, and what are the pros and cons to each type. Out of the 230+ registered Vehicles, 165 are Teslas, and most of those are Tesla Model 3s (84 of them). If you have a Tesla (especially a Model 3), we would like you to park in the back or even park in the public parking areas, leaving room for the less represented EVs.

Parking: We have three EV Parking Areas.
Lot 1. Located behind Bassett's, accessible from Wooton and Elgin Rd. limited, but open to all. Note: not accessible during 10 am - 11:30 am (during the Parade).

Lot 2. Located behind Jamison Real Estate (at the intersection of Fisher Ave (Rt 107) and Elgin Rd (RT 109)), accessible from Elgin Rd (Rt 109) all day. This lot is a mix of EVs. It is in a field, so please be careful of any ruts or holes.

Lot 3. Locate in the Anytime Fitness Parking Lot. No Teslas here. We want to keep this lot full, but we want a good variety of vehicles. If you like to talk to the public about your vehicle, this is the lot for you. Accessible from Wooton and Elgin Rd. Note: not accessible during 10 am - 11:30 am (during the Parade).

No Parking, where do I go? One of the closest is at the High School, but there is a lot of General Parking and some are serviced by an all-electric Ride-On event Bus.

Vendor Parking: We have a very limited number of spaces for non-EV vendor cars at the business behind Anytime Fitness.

For all parking, check out the interactive map of the event area https://bit.ly/ndewpark(case sensitive, updated often)

Check-In: When you arrive, please check in at the Check-In Tent. Registered Owners, Sponsors, and Volunteers will get a T-Shirt and Swag Bag while supplies last (if we run out and you want a T-Shirt, we will make an effort to get you one). The "Swag Bag" is very limited in content (we hope to do better next year).

COVID and Demo Drive: Everyone should check the COVID protocols: https://poolesville.green/2021-covid-mitigation-plan/. Because of COVID, we are not encouraging Demo Rides and Drives, but we will not stop you either. We take no responsibility for those who give or take rides or drives.
Be kind at all costs: We have all types here in Poolesville, please be kind and respectful, even if others are not. You represent the EV community as a whole and we want to leave a good impression. Also be kind to our staff, vendors, and sponsors. We want to have everyone back.

Volunteers Needed! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090F44A8A62FA6FB6-national1

Some final details:
Reminder about tomorrow's NDEW event in Poolesville:

Hello again and thank you again,

I am including the past two notes (below) for new registration and people who may have missed them.

Tomorrow is the big day, we have 250+ Vehicles registered. I want to stress that we do not have that many EV parking spaces, but please come. If we cannot fit you in, we will ask you to use the general parking (I would recommend the High School as a close spot). Come visit anytime between 10am and 4pm, and leave when you want. That will open up a space for others.

Weather should be nice, low 80s, 20% chance of a passing storm.

When coming to Poolesville, the best way is to go to Rt 109 and come in on that side of Poolesville. Parking Lot-J is the best first choice (see the map). If you come up Rt 107 (Fisher), be aware of the speed trap just before getting to town.

Remember to check out the interactive map of the event area https://bit.ly/ndewpark (case sensitive, updated often)

Take a lot of photos! After the event, I will send out a Google Photo site asking to share yours :)
