Portland/Vancouver - Windshield/PanoRoof recall service

Has anyone had this done in the area and have had a good experience? I about to schedule this, but want to get into a dealer that knows what they are doing. I think my dealer has sold 2 MME's and thus have doubt on their abilities.

All of the dealers I have contacted about completing this recall have said that they are not able to do it just yet—supply chain issues and lack of trained personnel.

That is what they tell me too. I have no doubt their is an auto glass specialist in the area that can do it, so we should all contact Ford customer care and ask them to make a path for us.

I have been calling around as well. I haven't even gotten as far as having a discussion with someone about it. Damerow in Beaverton transfers me back and forth between the service desk and parts department. Landmark Ford apparently has their own body shop; I was transferred there and left a message but haven't heard back.

Not filling me with confidence; I may be back to the "if it ain't broke" camp.

Once our roof or windshield flies off on the freeway, they will have to fix it and whatever other mayhem occurs. When you see another Mach E on the freeway, don't follow too closely. When I see one, I always set my following distance to all four bars.

We've been having the same problem with dealer availability in Denver as well. I messaged @Ford Motor Company and opened a customer service ticket. I don't know if it will do any good, but the lack a dealer response to a safety recall should be a top priority for Ford. It's one thing for dealers to try to make an extra profit on a sale, but it is a huge issue when dealers are refusing to fix a safety issue.

I had the glass recall done by Landmark Ford in Tigard. The workmanship was 1st class.

Had mine done by Damerow in March. The service rep knew all the details of what needed to be done and had a rental car ready without needing to ask. My one complaint is that neither the glass installer nor the service people bothered to clean up the interior afterwards. The dash, steering wheel and screen were all covered with dust from the cut out window adhesive (was dry and didn't stick to anything) and the car stunk for a week.

Dropped it off Thursday morning, got it back Monday afternoon.

I'm finally dropping off my car on the 30thof June. They have to replace the windshield because it's already cracked. I had to file an insurance claim and pay my deductible. Fingers crossed it goes well!

Update .. of sorts.

I had called for an appt with Bud Clary in Longview (purchase dealer), and they did not call back. 2 weeks later I tried to call again, left a message, no call back. 1 week later, again same thing, no call back. Today I was in the are and went by to get the, unfortunately common, we outsource the glass work and the last one done took two weeks. I mentioned the rental and he gave the Ford only allows for 2 days line. That and he kept telling me I needed the blue cruise install. Told him I had that already, but he did not really acknowledge this and tried again saying they would install BC.

At that point I just said I would call back when I had the time for the update. I will be searching for another dealer as they do not seem like will be one of Fords EV dealerships. I will be calling Landmark again and also check with Damerow as well.

Seems like @Ford Motor Company may have to shake a stick a bit more on some of these dealerships.

A little farther North - Seattle / Snohomish area - same story with the dealer - they don't have a glass guy - they advised I should call FORD USA and ask what to do...
