So I've had my MME for all of 3 days, so I understand a solid 5-7% of this thing so far. But in the few days I've had it, I've noticed a few oddities. Nothing alarming, but wondering if it's me or the vehicle.
First was that I had a pre-collision alert pop up randomly. Story time: I was entering the freeway and had to accelerate hard to get in front of a vehicle in my merging lane. I probably (read absolutely did) accelerated harder than I needed to. It was raining lightly at the time. After getting up to speed the pre-collision alert came on for about 10 seconds. The vehicle did not take any evasive or preventative measures, so it seems like it was just an alert. But it was enough to pucker the back door. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Is it possible the rain was a factor?
The other thing I've had was a few times where my settings on the infotainment screen have changed. Occasionally it changes my Sirius back to just the default Sirius channel instead of the last channel it was on. I've seen this a few times on the forum, and it's really no big deal since I just tap on my preset.
Then today, my temp control randomly was switched to full heat full blast. When I got back in the car after curling heading home it was blasting heat at the highest setting. Now I can neither confirm nor deny, but a Tesla Model S owner friend of mine did drive my MME to lunch. So maybe Tesla fanboi sabotage? Or has anyone else seen this with the climate control?
Other than that, and even these issues aren't deal breakers, I am tickled pink at this car. It is quicker than a hiccup and just a joy to drive. A colleague at work drove it over lunch on Friday and now he is scouring dealers looking for his own. I think that tells you the possibilities of this machine.
