Thanks for the information. Was hoping I could set it for 16 amps to save me 30% charging time.
And if you hit 3 miles per hour, consider yourself lucky. It may be closer to 2.8.

In addition, don't plan on using Departure Times, because 110 can't do squat to heat the battery, or even the car. And a remote start will use car battery because the wall isn't providing enough.

It's a barely acceptable solution.

Anything requiring a 20A circuit would be required to have a 20A plug on it:

All I've got for a while. Have been working with Condo association since last August and it's killing me.

HOAs suck. Had one since 1996, this is our second. Hoping to move to a retirement home and not have any HOA.

Not all suck. Mine just makes sure the common landscaping is maintained, the lake stocked, and the street lights lit. All for about $200 per year.
Every once and awhile, some homeowner does something untoward like parking a huge RV (cousin Eddie) in the street, letting weeds get knee-high, or burn a pile of trash. Then enforcement comes into play, and I’m good with that. We don’t have the crap that makes the news, such as too big of a flag, too many Christmas lights, or unpermitted house colors.

I was getting a little less than that when I measured mine. I was showing ~1100 watts, and about 9.4A. But it probably varies some. To be on the safe side, I would plan to have at least 12A free on the circuit. I wouldn't be trying to run anything else on the circuit in the garage at the same time other than maybe a few overhead lightbulbs.

...and do NOT add an extension cord between outlet and charger if you can help it. If you HAVE to add an extension cord, make sure it is minimum length, and has 10gauge wire and commercial grade plug ends.

Given the 3+ hours of charging, the typical 15amp rated extension cords are not suitable and the plug ends can melt, especially the solid 'molded on' one with the lights inside.

Hi Guys, my MME is coming, I am planning to install the 240V outlet in my garage. I do not need wall charger as over night charge is enough for you. I am going to DIY by myself, and watched many youtube videos, realize the Homedepot one might not be the right one, so here is my list, please let me know if i did something wrong here
1. 240 NEMA 14-50 : https://www.grainger.com/product/BRYANT-Receptacle-Industrial-49YY93?opr=ILOF
2. outlet box cover : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F82KT8V?psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp
3. outlet box: https://www.amazon.com/Hubbell-Raco...5c0f0b7997aec&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
4. outlet box mug ring : https://www.amazon.com/HUBBELL-WIRI...29ab46e8f6fae&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
5. 6/3 romax : https://www.homedepot.com/p/Southwi...e-Portable-Power-SOOW-Cord-55809299/204632934
6. 50A 2 pole Circuit Breaker: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Square-...e-Circuit-Breaker-HOM250CP-HOM250CP/202353323

as I am installing it next to my panel, I only need no more than 3 ft wire.

Anything I miss here ? thanks

You'll also need Romex bushings and wall clips for the wire to affix it to the wall.

That being said, if you're not already familiar with electrical wiring this isn't a great first project. High amperage stuff is dangerous if any connections are loose and you may technically need a permit for the work. Just be safe and if you're not comfortable with it, hire an electrician.

For the small additional cost, I recommend you go with 6 feet of wire. It is thick and needs wide radius bends. Also if you need to run the full height inside your panel box, that could take as much as 2 feet or so. It is easy to cut off excess and difficult to add more if you need it :)

The box you have selected will be a bitch to install. It's not deep enough, and it's very difficult to jam the 6awg wire in when you are pushing in the last bit to screw in the receptacle. These 'arlington' boxes are way easier to work with:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M2M6K5L?

The easiest install location will be below your existing service panel, in the same framing bay, either on the left or right side of the service... whichever has the least existing branch circuit feeds coming in because you will need to bring the 6/3wg up from outlet box as straight as you can to a 3/4" knockout in the bottom of the service enclosure.
