Going down 101 has always been on my list. Originally, I wanted to ride, as my wife both love it and our Ducatis love to go! She had knee surgery this year and bikes were out so we decided to just go and make it work.
San Francisco has been on her list, so we managed to get two things done at once.
Lots of discussion on camping vs hotels and we decided on a mix.
Camping over five nights on the way down, three nights in a hotel in San Francisco, camping on the way back except for a hotel in Portland (we love Portland)
I really want to thank @ebeponyan for his posts and messages. I had another post just for advice and he really stepped up.
I have a crap ton of pictures that I'll post occasionally as I get time, this one at a time thing on mobile is a pain in the ass, and if anyone cares....
First thing first, almost 4800km and a total of $420 (cad) in charging.
Yes, I could've done it cheaper (maybe) but easy is my style. Our other vehicle, a 2016 Acadia would have been over $1300 for the same trip.
