Scary moment on the drive home from work last night. Pictures of dented and scratched body panels flying through my head.
Pulled over and between the darkness and dirty car, I really couldn’t tell what the damage was.
Washed the car at home this morning. Not a scratch on it. Whew. Can’t say as much for the coyote.
I guess coyote fur is good for high speed buffing of your paint.

Thankfully you did the right thing -- you didn't swerve or really try to avoid it. It's a shame to hit an animal in the road but even worse to risk your life to save the animal.
