I used to hide a key also. Some are still where I put them decades ago I suspect.

Hiding a second fob with the battery removed isn't a bad idea. As long as you remember to replace the battery every 2 years or so.
Even without the battery, it should still start the car as long as you have access to the console.

You said you were curious about that. Did you actually test the theory?

Quoting this again for another reason - let me be the next person to publicly thank you for throwing yourself in the line of fire here. I don't know if I'd have it in me to do so. I hope @Ford Motor Company tells your manager and you get a nice pair of Mach-E earbuds or something to thank you. ?

many of us including me are sometimes very salty on here because ultimately, we care (too much maybe). please don't let that discourage you from being open with us in the future. Use the "ignore" button liberally if necessary. Many of us old-timers do. ?
Thank you :) My wife who drives a MachE was salty about the software quality on me very often. I am used to it. I know it is painful and frustrating when things do not work ?

With that being said, we should have nothing to worry about. Your wife can give you an earful on our behalf ;).

According to the manual holding the brake down and pushing the button is supposed to bring it up. I tried for 3 hours and nada! So your guess is as good as any.
Very well. I've tried opening the door hoping it would reset it or something. Nothing I do seems to have an affect. Guess I'll just keep on pushing it until the password option comes up.

Disclaimer: My point of view below does not represent Ford Motor Company. It is a purely technical discussion among MachE fans.

First of all, I verified reset Paak in Mache is unnecessary to fix the 3.35 issue, redeliver (delete and deliver) the key on FordPass is sufficient.

We may have figured out why 3.35 upgrade failed for some Android models but not the others. (my wife's OnePlus phone was fine during the upgrade to 3.35). Also, this 3.35 Paak upgrade issue may not have anything to do with the BSP issue.

Right now, we do not have much choice but to release a hotfix 3.35.1.

Here is the caveat, for those of you, who have already reset Paak or redeliver the key in 3.35, please do not upgrade to 3.35.1 (turn off auto-upgrade in Google Play for FordPass). Otherwise, you may have to redeliver the key again. ?‍♂

The 3.35.1 hotfix is meant for users who haven't upgraded from 3.34 yet. So far, the majority of Android Paak user hasn't upgraded the app yet. We must stop the bleading asap.

A more permanent fix might take a while, given it is a holiday. I am so sorry. ?‍♂

Dear Ford Engineer, what are you thankful for this thanksgiving........

That we got away on holiday before people discovered the big software muck-up in their cars.

Thanks for the hotfix-among-friends announcement. Some of us, myself included, have had our phones update to 3.35 *and* PaaK does not work *and* we have not done a PaaK reset or redeliver or anything else like that.

So I guess the question is, are you asking us to turn off auto updates, also?

I'm using a Pixel 6 (not Pro) on T-Mobile, for whatever that's worth.

If it were my team I would have pulled 3.35. The hot fix will inevitably mess a lot of sh*t up with those who aren't forum goers. I do appreciate the attentiveness to us but as a product owner myself I would have carefully weighed this decision and probably acted differently.

Again I thank you and hope that not too many people get stranded over the holidays.

You guys have metrics I can't see so fingers crossed.

Pixel 6 pro TMobile also car started and unlocked fine on paak past night. Tried it from the back of the plant inside also. It took a while but it finally worked. Hope it all gets fixed soon.
