How to get puddle lights when we approach Mach e with key fob ? I saw in many forums but I was not able to get it. Just curious so that I can show it to my son.

Some have said that they light up all the time but it must be dark.

I've only seen them on my Mach-E when it is really dark out. I've also only seen them when the mirrors are folded in.

You could try holding your hand under the projector (at the end of the rear view mirror) to see if its lit up.

According to the owner‘s manual, that’s the only time they work. They turn off when the mirrors unfold.

They only turn on right as you're walking up and the lights come on. They seem to shut off pretty quick too. It does seem to need to be dark to see them, But I've seen it faintly on other times as well.

I got it once when I opened my door to garage and it stayed for couple
Of seconds and went away and then never appeared even if it’s pitch dark. Seems like a

I've seen it once, when I walked away from the car into my house...my 6 yr old son has seen it multiple of times - I think he believes more than I do, which is why I don't see it often.

But my understanding is that it was both a welcome light and a walk-away/lock indication...

Mine light every time I approach with either the fob or PAAK. Cannot see them in bright ambient light. They only light if the mirrors are folded.

They look great. I just wish they would stay on longer. I feel like it should be on, anytime the outside lights are on, and the car isn't started. Any other car I've had that has had puddle lights, they are always on when you unlock the car, and a little bit after you lock it.

If you have the car set to unlock on approach, when do the mirrors unfold? When it unlocks or when you open a door?

It's like seeing aliens. If you think you see it once and report it, everyone will think you are crazy. All the pics seemingly proving puddle lights are clearly photoshopped.

Or maybe the trick to seeing puddle lights is to realize there are no puddle lights?

Or maybe it's like Christmas spirit, the way to spread puddle light joy is singing loudly for all to hear?
