Winter is a killer for EVs... Unless they develop new batteries that are lighter so they can put even bigger packs on cars.

If you're planning on using the cars as a trip car then sometimes it will be tight in winter

I'm planning on using the MME as a city car more than anything and maybe a 120km trip from time to time but never longer or rarely... That's why I went RWD...

But in the future I will hope cars will get longer range and lower prices too

Not really. I drive there and back same day. And as stated by OttawaGuy with the mountain range forget 50 which is the way i usually take. I could do 417 to go and drive back by the 50. Id have to charge at lachute but i dont think id have enough range to get there.
Winter is my biggest problem. If im by myself i can take my sentra, problem solved, but with the family to gatineau in the winter i dont think i could make it even 1 way. It'd be tight

148 could be a better option...15 minutes longer drive on average but flat...

I often take that route, it's a drive that is more fun

My Rogue has 100k after less than 4yrs of ownership. Warranty will expire soon. Didnt want to continue puting money into a car that I wanted to change so I was going to end it now and go to electric since i always said my next car would be electric. This definetely changes things. I dont want to go the Rav4 prime route, or the id4 route. Hopefully they figure something out. I dont see any reason to pay full price. I was getting it now cause i figured ill take advantage of the incentive while it exists. With no incentive, whats the rush now? Why not wait? I dont know im really torn on this one. I feel like i wasted a shit load of time.

Not crazy about the traffic coming from ottawa at that junction plus having to go through hawkesbury. Ive done that route quite a few times.
