That's actually my preference. I had an Explorer that would turn the heated seat and steering wheel on automatically when remotely started, but they would turn off when you get in the car and would have to turn them back on all the time. If it's cold outside, I want them to stay on until I turn them off. They stay on, but real easy to turn off.
Under Climate Control, are seat heater and steering wheel heater things you an control with your voice? These are the categories for voice commands.
Examples: set temperature, navigate to, set radio stations, call someone.
there are 4 preset wake works on that list and thats it - if there is a way to set your own - it should have said it right there on that screen (unless buried in some other screen)Is there a set of preset wake words to choose from or can you make the wake word whatever you want?
Hoping that POI recognition is 1000% better in the MME. That's the whole point of being live connected (well, one of the biggest points anyway).I’ve found Ford’s voice recognition and voice commands to be excellent. I generally use it for any thing that’s voice controlled and rarely have problems with it understanding what I’m saying. The only slight annoyance is that navigation requires a specific, highly structured grammar and, if you make any errors in a navigation command, your best bet is to say “cancel” and start again. Also, navigation sometimes has odd names for POIs. That’s not the fault of voice recognition though!
I wish you can set it to "Hello [CAR_KNICKNAME]". I'd name my car "Newman", and every time I want to activate voice control, I would say "Hello Newman" in a real disgusted, annoying voice. It's a preselected list of wake words. Also, the HVAC fan turns down so it can hear you better, which is nice.
