I know questions have been posted on individual threads, but maybe there are some in some minds that have not been asked?

Mine is this: Are they taking the road show to those of us in “Flyover” country? It is just killing those of us in the MidWest to see all the posts for you ladies and gentlemen getting to see, sit in, and ride in the car that I almost want to make a 6-8 hour drive just for the opportunity.

Does anyone have an estimate for when the dealers will get their cars for test drives? My guess is this might be the first time those of us in the MidWest will get to see the car.

I continue to hear reports from dealers that range from late November to late December.

My dealer said the first week of December for his “mannequin “ as he called it.

I was wondering the same thing but got to thinking that since these are preproduction cars and are now being driven to a lot of places and a lot of people have been touching and sitting in them that they might start looking a little worn and tired looking. So I am starting to look forward to waiting to see dealer deliveries or my own car instead of these cars.

The good news is that in another month or two, dealers will have their FCTP units and you'll be able to drive them.

I have a guess regarding demo vehicles.
California will see their demos right after Thanksgiving. Major markets on East Coast a few days later, before end of Nov. Upper midwest and east coast first week Dec. Second week of dec would be other markets. AZ, TX and NM might see vehicles delivered during any of those weeks because all routes run through those states.

All just a guess though. Take it with a grain of salt...

Not supposed to be any rides or test drives with the Pre-Production vehicles. Only allowed to sit inside, play with the controls and inspect compartments and features etc.

There may have been some rides or even test drives but I would expect people to keep it under wraps since those shouldn't be happening yet.

No test drives. A few events not only has the Tour cars handled by a marketing firm but also another car brought by a Ford employee who took folks for ride-along.

If be interested to know if the onboard trip computer is available? Say plug in a destination 700 miles away and compare the cars suggested route and charging plan to what A Better Route Planner would predict.

If anyone going to a future event can try this that would be great. Let us know the beginning charge percentage and the start and end points you enter so we can try to replicate the trip and play with the road conditions settings.

I gave it a try in NJ, and it offered me several routes but didn't seem to prioritize fast chargers. That may not have been the nav's fault though since EA has a lot of chargers along the east coast under replacement or set to 50kw until they are replaced. I put in Charlotte NC as a destination, and there were at least 3 EA stations down/underreporting at the time, so not a "fair" test. It didn't seem as feature rich as ABRP; you could tell it to skip a station but there weren't any obvious controls to alter how much charge to take at a given station or "take a long break" like in ABRP. I've spent a lot of time playing with general settings in ABRP as well as editing certain stops to map out a 3 day trip from NJ to Orlando via Atlanta with longer lunch/dinner breaks, shorter midday "biobreaks" and overnight stops. Ford's nav didn't seem to have that capability. Also when Ford's nav first mapped out the multiple routes, it didn't seem to show a synopsis of which was shorter or how many stops there where (or how long each route would take).

It could have been me as I only played with it briefly, but I think they have a way to go before it has all the capability of ABRP.

I don’t expect the MME trip computer to be any good for a while. The Bolt TC was total crap at first. You couldn’t save your route so when you stopped, you’d have to put it in again.

Now it’s better than ABRP or PlugShare. It knows Mt passes and the estimated range is pretty good. No weather though.
