Radio stops when car play activates

The last 2 days i get in the car and the radio is on. Once car play starts the radio stops. No music is open on my phone. Tried turning off and restarting car. Sometimes the radio eventually turns back on when i push the radio icon. Usually car play reactivates and the radio stops again. Thoughts?
