Anyone have an idea how I can raise the ground clearance by an inch? I couldn't find a thread on here seeing if someone already did it.

Maybe not as much as an inch, but you could find an aftermarket wheel/tire combo that will give you more ground clearance.

I already have 20s on mine, so I was thinking maybe getting a bigger tire to give it a bit more clearance.

Airbags. Or helpers. But it'll be expensive and will also cost a alignment.

Bigger tire is your easiest (and probably better riding) option.

well... the GT stock tire is 245/45-20... so if you keep the same width, and change profile from 45% to 55% (of 245mm), you would gain ALMOST an inch of clearance, and probably soften the ride a bit.

My current tires are 45% so that’s what I was thinking about doing!
Now I need suggestion on tires. 😅

Tires are the only option I am privy to, or at least a reasonable option

Going up an inch will be tough to get away with. The 255/45R20 is a tad taller and will not require any modification. A 265/45R20 will go higher yet, but it''s a pretty aggressive fitment and will most likely cause rub issues.

Hope this helps.

I too am attempting to raise the ground clearance on my Mach E, and like a previous poster mentioned figured I could gain some height fairly easily with different wheels and tires.

Using a Fitment Calculator (https://www.offfset.com/pages/wheel-fitment-calculator), I can see other wheel sizes and tires that would be close to OEM diameter, and those slightly larger or smaller. There is a 3% rule to the acceptable difference in overall tire diameter from stock to a larger or smaller tire; if there is a larger difference than there could be failure of ABS, traction control, and other problems. So, it seems if following the rule, the most we can increase a tire is by 0.8 inches in diameter, giving you a 0.4 in increase in ground clearance to 6.1 inches total.

I'm thinking of this setup:

Wheels: Fast Wheels EV01+ 19x8.5 40mm offset, which have the same bolt pattern and bore, but a -7 offset from stock (47.5mm). I chose these because they're not too expensive and hopefully will help minimize range loss with a larger tire and wheel.

Tires: Michelin CrossClimate2 265/50r19 110V XL. They can fit wheel widths of 7.5-9.5in. These tires are 2.9% larger in diameter than stock. They are also 4cm wider than Select or Premium and 2cm wider than GT. These tires will for sure cause worse range, but I'm a big fan.

The look is much more aggressive; some others have done 265 square setups and with this offset and width there shouldn't be any poke but the distance from the sidewall to the flair is only 1/8 of an inch or so.

I decided to go with some Michelin Crossclimate2 245/55r19; they work with the stock 19 inch Premium wheels. The change gave me 0.4 inches of increased ground clearance to a total of 6.1 inches. No rubbing or poke, still clear of fender flare if I hit bumps. Though as Say Watt shows with the picture of his hand on the tire in a previous post, it's even closer with the bigger diameter, around 2cm of clearance now.

Not much change in handling or noise, maybe a little softer ride, but hard to say. I'm sure the Crossclimate2 will be superior in rain, snow and ice over the Primacy. (At cost of range probably)

All so I can drive over the incline on my garage. Thankfully it's enough.
